Breeders (sitcom)

I don't think there's been a thread about it. It stars Martin Freeman and Daisy Haggard (who is terrific in everything she's in and is mostly in things that are, in turn, terrific). Anyway, series 1 was good (8/10) but series 2 is just brilliant, compelling, beautiful television. Also, Annfield Plain born possible MLF Alun Armstrong has a major supporting role as Martin Freeman's dad (and, in a way, everyone's dad if you're of an age).

Can you give us a brief synopsis?

So, Freeman and Haggard are middle class London parents with two children. The younger one, Ava, is the perfect child. Their first born, Luke, has issues. They also have the odd marriage problem, some of their friends are weird, they both have odd parents. It's worth a watch. Better than Sky's attempt at Game of Thrones in Rome, Domina.

Cheers for that. I'm almost at the end of Motherland so will probably get involved with this.

Alun is a big AFC Wimbledon fan, might even be on the board. I spoke to him a few year back when he came to lend his support to Stanley Civic Hall regeneration. Nice fella, who I'm related to (my dad's cousin) Chatted to him for a while and he was a proper football fella. Can sink a few as well.
