Neither McFazdean nor Hume were effective defenders and opposing sides exploited this with ease on regular occasions.
I actually think the fans have been quite patient with him. He came with a reputation of constantly changing line ups and having long slumps which he didn't know what to do about. The fact that these have been very early is a massive red flag. That run of 10/11 games then the frankly pathetic attempt in the play offs means that fans should be worried. The use of jargon is just a side show. To be honest I saw him as a pundit before we hired him and I thought he came across as a smug, self satisfied prat so I was really not keen on us appointing him.

To be fair people were behind the rhetoric when it was going well. His problem has been that we were woeful last 10 games and he didn’t have an answer. Meanwhile he’s using phrases to sound like he’s some kind of visionary and ahead of the curve. We’re in league one and people can’t be bothered to get their wool pulled over their eyes or to buy into his rubbish, just win some games.

Fully behind our young talent over here, however, Hume has proven since the Jack Ross days that he can't defend or head a football. If someone said we'll give him a chance as a winger I'd say give it a go. But we can't go into the season with Hume as a first choice left back. Academy graduate or not if you can't defend a L1 level you'll struggle to make it any higher.

Indeed your views are as valid as anyone’s, but it doesn’t mean they will be universally accepted, it’s good to communicate and discuss even when views don’t align, if you’re a new member you will soon learn that you will be pigeonholed into one category or other as to whether you’re a happy clapper or a bed wetter, if you’re a reincarnation of a previous ID then you will already know this.
