Brewdog

Sorry Tony but you are wrong. Theres currently 4 on the website which are always on the shelves. Plus the 2 you named, plus a lime lager which I bought yesterday and there was a red lager which i cant remember the name. Thats 8 beers. Tiny Rebel is a staple of Sainsburys beer section.

Clwb Tropica, Cali Pale and, stock permitting, Mango Shakedown are the only ones in North Hylton Road. Electric Boogaloo was in briefly but not seen it for months. They had an 8 pack of mixed ones in a few weeks ago, but that hasn't been seen again. Never seen any others in there and I'm in once a week at least.

They may, briefly, have had Easy Livin, but not sure, and if they did it was last year.

I am partial to Clwb Tropica mind, nice sessionable fridge filler.

What's a session beer/session IPA? I had some that were under 4%. Is it the strength that defines whether they're "session" or not?

My idea of a session is necking as many premium lagers as possible and being sick in my pants.

Anyway, the Brewdog slurps I've had aren't that impressive, especially at the prices.
Anything under 5% is enough to get the session moniker.

BrewDog beers are near enough as cheap as they come like. Aside from the stouts they're all piss poor imo.

I'd say that a session beer is one you can drink at a decent rate over a few hours without falling over or throwing up. Percentage wise between 4 and 5%. Anything below 4% is not worth bothering with. It also has to have a taste that you can keep drinking. There are some really nice beers shuch as stouts and wheat beers which are OK for one or two but couldn't face 6 or 8 pints of.

Some decent sub 4% beers, just not many. I'm currently drinking an Almasty Simple Pleasures, spot on for 4%. Their Space Queen is the best sub 4% I've ever had I think, loads of flavour for 3.5%

The quality of their beers have gone to the dogs over the last few years, Punk is ok but not a touch on 3-4 years ago, and Elvis Juice is now barely palatable. I do still like Mr President .

I did quite a bit of work for them and met loads of their staff and all were canny. But there always seems to be a big turnover which is never a good sign.
Can't say I'm surprised in general.

Think they started out with good intentions but all the success has probably gone to the head of 'the captain' as he likes to be known.

It doesn't no. Hopefully they will come out with some examples now. They mention safety issues so if H&S is something that's been an issue they should report it to HSE too.

I saw Anarchy brewery had to come out with an apology for a homophobic comment made by one of their people in an online tasting session. I can imagine there's a bit of a blokey culture in some of these craft brewers run by beardy tubbers.

I did like that but tended to avoid it due to getting too quickly mullered on it so I imagine it's due to that type of feedback.
Marble have had recent issues too, one of their senior staff resigned the other day

Kernel table beer would disagree my friend

The amount of stories I've read about their bars being toxic workplaces is incredible. There's clearly a big problem with how their bars are managed across the UK and US.

No doubt James Watt will spin this into some cringeworthy LinkedIn PR update in the next week or so. The David Brent of social media.
It didn’t even take that long did it

So Brewdog sent an email out to their employees basically telling them to sign a counter letter completely dismissing the claims (completely with statements such as its “f***ing brilliant” to work for them). And once this leaked, Watt actually denied all knowledge of this email and has accused the HR of going rogue with it

What a spectacularly shit day for that company

James Watt has waded in on the Twitter thread saying it wasn’t him that posted that, it was the HR dept.

 Fuck me. This is Gerald Ratner scale fuck up

That has echoes of the fuck up I mentioned earlier - legal letters sent over use of a name, then when the public react, he's all 'it's our lawyers fault, not us'.

Oh, and crew? Crew mates? 'Mission Control'?
