Brewdog

Expensive piss that gives me rotten hangovers for some strange reason, I avoid them now!

Had six small cans one night and work up feeling like I’d been in @the dark one bar and sank 12 pints of Peroni
People say that about Rattler when they normally drink dark fruits stuff
It’s really strong stuff and if you drink carling at <4% and then drink elvis juice at 6.5, it’s no surprise it’s making you go daft.

If it was one or 2 I would agree but there’s loads of examples.
I struggle to see how a problem at the brewery would manifest itself in a retail outlet miles away mind. Can a company be poisonous as opposed to individuals?

Absolutely, and not defending them.....but these type of Companies exist and it's down to the individuals as to whether they accept it or challenge. And I'd argue that we're more likely to challenge than accept these days, and again Social Media plays a huge part in that.

I've grown up in an aggressive unrelenting work environment where if you didn't like it, go somewhere else....that was just how it was and unfortunately, those type of behaviours were necessary in order to do your day to day role. For the record, I adapted to it it once I got used to it, and I'd like to think that those I had a real issue with and managed accordingly, played their part in that. The workforce can be equally as responsible for creating that toxic culture....there's also a huge difference regionally in this. Certain behaviours would be unthinkable in some parts of the country, despite being welcomed in others.

However,I would hate to think that someone talked to my kids in that way, but thankfully, there's a lot less likelihood of that happening these days.

Done months ago. Saves them an absolute fortune in duty. 5.4% now.
That's not that much of a drop is it? It was 5.6% wasn't it? What strength does the duty change? That makes sense if producing in large volumes (probably why they've done the Elvis Juice as well).

Still confused what it is they’re meant to have done. Is this just not bitter ex employees pissed off and wanting to create some furore on social media? Or am I completely missing something?

They used to be the gateway to proper craft beer and do genuinely good beers, now they are all about profit and mass production, they have reduced the quality and % , pretty much the carling of the craft beer world, used to love Punk IPA but now its impossible to drink.

Works out at around £12k a day in duty due to the scale they brew at.
Reach out to mission control. Did Lee Johnson write that letter
Can guarantee LJ double spaces after a full stop as well.

Consistently treating staff like shit. As someone said, company of 900, over 100 sign an open letter saying it's full of bullies.
But how have they treated people like shit? Not aiming that at you, just intrigued what they’re meant to have done, as nothing is actually stated in that letter. I wonder how many of those 100 were perhaps sacked for whatever reason, and this is a good way to get back at them? Just speculating.

my qualified as a brewer a few years back and went for a trail with them, he's italian and quite catholic and he said they instantly took a dislike to him when he did a little prayer or kissed his cross or whatever it was before he ate his meal, and he was out of the door on his arse straight away. said it was really weird. he owns his own brewery and tap room in Italy now and is making a good success of it, so fuck them. he was devastated at the time as it was a dream for a young graduate back then to get a job with brewdog and he lasted a day, knowing he was more than good enough for the role

anyway, there is an endless amount of craft beer around these days, no need to drink Brewdog.

For the most part they’re incredibly mediocre. But that’s the formula for big brewing (and Brewdog are now a major player). Lowest common denominator beers which appeal to as many people as possible in that category, at scale for a decent price.
Nailed it.

Especially when it's not a very good product.
