Concerts at SOL in 2022

Modern day folk rock. Americans IIRC.
Seen them a couple of times at festivals, very good live. A couple of years ago at Green Man I was quite surprised to see how many of the young uns were moving towards the stage for their set, thought they would have a more 'mature' audience, but there were thousands who seemed to know every word of their songs.

I'd gan for the crack me like. Swifty in her hot pants, shaking it off. Spot on hew.

2019 ya mean.
Would be interesting to see if that's still her 'thing' live as her last 2 records have moved in a much 'cooler' direction, working with people like SMB faves The National and Bon Iver. Really nice records, IMHO, though I'll admit to enjoying some of her flat out poppy stuff too.

It's like a Made In Chelsea soundtrack. There's definitely an appeal to the young, hip, dare I say more affluent crowd.

The cool kids were on to them ages ago.

Aww I kna - that's why I asked if they were still going. I remember them being on the scene when I was in Uni. I see they split up in 2013 but got back together a few years later. Sorta explains why I thought they'd disappeared.

Im amazed I said Taylor swift and it got such a positive response , I love her last 2 albums but unsure how it would work at a stadium .

U2 have not toured in a while and rumours of a zoo tv revamped tour

Hopefully we can get a few on with something for everyone

I saw First Aid Kit shortly after they put that video out, in a little bar tent at End Of The Road, absolutely stunning sound. They still make a nice noise but the simplicity of a single guitar, a tiny keyboard and those voices was something else.

Folklore and evermore are canny albums, totally different to her pop stuff.
Bought my first ever Taylor swift album, something I thought I'd never do

She's not my cup of tea, but any act big enough to sell the stadium & bring money into the city is a good thing in my books

Great news for the city! There's been a couple of tours announced already that I was disappointed didn't include us, but hopefully we'll be on the venue circuit again soon enough

One disappointing thing I've seen is Ticketmaster's biggest venue list. No idea why Sid James Park is on the list instead of us? Especially considering they wouldn't be able to host most of the concerts listed, due to the production sizes...
