Alien Life introducing themselves

Fully believe there’s life out there in the universe. It’s just too vast to not contain much more life than just Earth. I doubt there’s life as intelligent as human within at least billions of miles. The universe is so old there’s also a pretty good chance many civilisations have existed and disappeared as a star/planet only has a finite lifespan.
 


All the cameras available out there with smart phones and all that, yet still nothing than grainy footage or some not great quality footage from fighter jet cameras.

This. Chances are they'd have nowt to learn from us. They might randomly study us for a bit, just like we would if we saw some bugs on the moon. Chances are they'd be more keen on minerals or something from earth, so they'd probably just kill us all

This is it really, humanity has been on this planet for about 0.00000001% of its existence, so the chance of coinciding with some visit from a more intelligent species from another galaxy is somewhat remote.

This for me.

I do belive there's life out there, but just to even find a planet out of billions that may have the chance of life then also have the ability to travel thousands of light years to just scope the place out makes it a no for me.
 
It’s coming for sure, there have been loads of ’hints’. Hypothetically Would you be surprised if it was announced tomorrow?

I think the hope is that they've evolved beyond, maybe even skipped, the whole phase humans went through. Perhaps they will never be able to view things the way we do/did in terms of colonisation/slavery/conflict etc it's quite a hypothetical situation so anything goes I guess. What if Aliens were the actual embodiment of peace? Would make sense as to why they're kept from us, if we live in a state of peace then I'm sure that will fuck up a lot of people's plans :lol:

We could be like a petting zoo for the universe where they just come stroke us, buy a hot dog and giant foam finger then go home.

There is that... what's to say they aren't doing that now? They just derive more entertainment from spectating. You don't hear of many people trying to reach through the TV to stroke the fools on I'm a celeb etc that's not to say they don't exist :lol:
