CC :: Essex v Durham

Coughlin is a proper 50:50 all-rounder. If his form was better this would be a no brainer.

In 2013, when we won the title, we had seven bowlers in the team: four seamers plus Borthwick, Collingwood and Jennings.

I don't think Eckersley's batting will be as important when Bancroft returns.
.
His batting up to this point unfortunately doesn’t suggest 50/50 or good enough to bat 7.

2013 is a long way from where we are now, we aren’t that good anymore unfortunately, all of those players were in the side because they were worthy of their batting positions. That they could bowl a bit was a massive bonus. We no longer have a Jennings or a Collingwood.

Get in, Raine

Problem with Coggers as our fifth seamer is whilst it adds an extra body for the workload it doesn't vary the attack or speed up the over rate in the way a medium pacer in the mould of Harte, Collingwood etc did.

Coggees, Carse, potts all similar bowlers imo
Did Essex actually do their homework on Durham bowlers?

When someone posted it was a green wicket, plenty of grass and they won the toss and batted I think we may have got the best result there like
