Astra Zeneca

I'm a little concerned about getting the 2nd AZ jab as I'm a heavily overweight, pill taking 45 year old tbh. Might have to speak to someone but I don't think they can mix and match vaccines currently.
As has been said, my understanding is that if you were going to have a reaction, you would have had it already after the first jab

The numbers were higher in women as more women have had the vaccine compared to men. The CMH guy said the prevalence of the adverse event v vaccines given represented similar numbers based on gender

And if I was <30 I would also get my 2nd dose, given that they are saying the adverse event is likely to occur within 10-14 days of the first dose.

Edit: For anyone - Who was the clown (maybe highground) who said that it only occurred after the 2nd dose because you have had more of the vaccine?.....
That's the boyo.

I think I may have told him/her not to be so silly.

Germany are mixing but we won't I doubt.
Still in trials but weirdly I would prefer the Pfizer jab as the 2nd dose but only because of efficiency reasons.

Trials are taking place in U.K. as well, I’m fairly certain that the Russian Sputnik is one of the vaccines being looked at

Mr Starmer says take it.

@Keir_Starmer: The AstraZeneca vaccine is safe, effective and saving thousands of lives. Trust in our doctors and scientists. When it is your turn to get the jab, do so. My first dose was AstraZeneca and I look forward to getting my second dose when it is offered.

as someone just over 30 makes me think twice about getting it to be honest. i know the risk is incredibly low but the same could be said about covid itself for someone my age
