New series started on bbc2 last night. It was canny - focussing on organised crime in Manchester (at least for the first two episodes). Interesting how the nasty fuckers operated - while they know no one would dare put pen to paper against them they made some absolute schoolboy errors in the course of their crimes !!!

They’ll have undoubtedly been confident no one would make a statement against them but I honestly couldn’t believe the forensic / cctv evidence that they just mustn’t have considered a risk.

The police were involved in handing over the cash for the first victim I read. Think thats how they got bostock stopped the vehicle after it picked the cash up but the cash wasnt found.

That reflected badly on the old bill that. If that was a pissed office worker who weighed 10 stone they would never had put up with all that stuff. He'd have been twisted up in 2 seconds flat.

Exactly..it looked bad when they said get a capable officer to stand at the door..if he’s that much of a threat get the cuffs on.
