I have 18-20 open at the min, however that's the first time I've ever been able to say that. Not so very long ago I didn't have more than 3 or 4 in the house at any one time and I'd pretty much drink them one at a time n'all. I suppose that's lockdown for ya...

The father in law is coming round in Easter Sunday and have the macallan 12 open which is what I would offer him, but think I'll see if he wants to try the Japanese one as the Mrs says he has never had it before.
So thought if I have 2 open, might as well open a few more and spread it around.

I like having four bottles open at a given time. Enough to give me a choice of something that I fancy but without being too confusing.
I’ve got about 220 - 250 bottles open at the moment but that’s very poor practice. Can’t resist opening some bottles as soon as they arrive.

I usually work on 9 open at any one time. 3 x peated, 3 x bourbon cask and 3 assorted (sherry, rum, port, wine) finishes. I like to vary what I drink on an evening and rarely have more than 1 of any single whisky on the same night.

I see The Whisky Shop have put some of their allocated Local Barley in their own auction site. I hope the distilleries take a stand against this and stop supplying them.
