They wont be jealous that we won it.

They'll be pissed off that they couldn't laugh at us for losing. By winning we removed the one bit of pleasure they might have this season

It might be a tinpot trophy. But they'd have loved laughing at us for not winning it. Harder to take the piss out of a winning team

They can take the piss all they want, but they’d kill for a Wembley day out and a win if fans were allowed. They were after 10K tickets to watch their U-23’s at us a few years back, so they twist on all they like.

Our 1st team can’t enter the Champions League but I don’t laugh at the winners. As for the Mags they'd have been all over it like a rash if we’d lost. Give the f#ckers grief at every opportunity I say.
 
Honestly I don't see the value of gloating to the mags over this, because honestly from their perspective it looks pathetic.

This is a great little win for us, but it smacks of a small club mentality when we're mocking them two leagues down over this.

Yes they've never even played at Wembley nevermind much as won there, but they won't be losing sleep over missing out on a competition they'd never want to participate in.

And for us, let's hope it's the last time our first team is ever involved in it. Nice win, now let's go for the bigger prize.

Aye it’s the EFL Cup and aye we’re in League One, but they absolutely, 100% care.

They’re a set of sad bastards, hence the “good luck to Tranmere from Tyneside” patter on social media.
