I phoned them beginning of February..told them i couldn’t afford it due to Covid..shorter hours..etc..they knocked £27 a month off my contract..gave me Sky movies and upgraded my internet to Sky fibre..and like you say 7 weeks later and it’s back up £5.

You could do what i did and plead poverty..the lass on the phone was ok like..I know some can be right knackers like..mine was up in the high £80’s which is ridiculous..she told me i was entitled to a reduction..it’s all obviously automated..she gave me the movies..the internet upgrade and knocked £27 a month off..i used this number 0333 759 3772.

I put my cancellation in on Monday, I was paying about 80ish including internet, got an email today offering me the tv with sport for 32 a month.
I’m still leaving coz the lass on chat was being an absolute prick.
Aye lad i had did nothing to help me out at all. Give me the same amount that appeared in my future bill.

Only thing good about sky is the sports, everything else is garbage

I'll be the first to admit Sky's coverage of the F1 is second to none, but apart from that I think they are really slipping or at least not moving with the times. Take a look at the football, when it's on amazon you can pick which game you want to watch, they are all there, rather than them picking the big games and the same top teams over and over. They have also lost more and more football to others like BT. Other sports too, cricket is getting more coverage elsewhere.

I have my broadband with them, but Virgin are finally in the process of digging up the streets around me and putting cable in so I will finally have a choice of something other than ADSL, and believe me their bottom package costing the same as I currently pay (£27.99) for more than double the speed will have me jumping ship sharpish.

Had any offers, I binned ours off last night, so interested to find out what happens with yours? Maybe not enough time between cancelling yours yet though.

yep, though its been a pain in the arse as they've cocked it up. Got multiscreen and everything else (TV) bar kids, for £60.

yeah this bit was good on amazon, but thats only because they decided to show all the games they'd bought in one go, if amazon did ever get a proper package like one of the relevant picks, then they'd spread them out like the other providers do rather than shoot their load on one night... it was a great gimmick from them, but to do that, and accomdate the premier leagues broadvcasting demands, would take a lot of effort later, due to the sheer number of games they would have to buy... normal service will be resumed once crowds are allowed back in

Was oaying 88 pm for the full package they upped it to 122 inc bb.

I played poverty and the kept it at 88 and gave me netflix anarl

Vote with your feet people.

I cancelled 5 years ago because of the constant price hikes(sometimes by stealth) and have never looked back.

Switched from Virgin to Sky when our last contract ran out. Will probably switch back again when the Sky deal runs out. Only way to get their best prices, once you're on the hook they couldn't care less.

Had cable from its onset in Sunderland and initially it was great. The price went up and up so I got rid and bought a Freesat box. I've got Netflix that costs me nothing but I mostly watch YouTube these days. I will never go back to paying to watch ordinary tv. I would pay for britbox, prime or Netflix as they are relatively cheap. But not Virgin or sky.
