As an edit to my earlier post. Admit you were wrong in calling Harry Kane a ‘flash in the pan’ and ‘utter shite’. It’s ok to admit you’re wrong about footballers, it doesn’t really matter. I thought van Nistelrooy wouldn’t score more than 10 a season and got that wrong

You said he was a flash in the pan yet he’s regularly scored goals in the premier league for 8 year.

The fact he hasn’t won anything isn’t his fault surely

1993/94 Andy Cole. 34 goals 13 assists.

98/99 Hasselbaink 18 goals 13 assists

In 2003, Henry got 20 assists, and 24 goals but came second in the golden boot to Van Nistlerooy with 25 goals.

Interesting that Kane is currently on 13 assists already, equalling the pair... will take some effort to get to 34 goals mind :eek:

34 in a 42 game season, although he only played in 40.
Shearer got 34 the year after, scoring 34 in 42
 
Who would you choose Kane or Haaland? For the purposes of this question assume they’re the same age.

I’d go Haaland even though I love Kane. I just think Haaland is going to be very, very special but I hope there’s some love for Harry if anybody can actually be arsed answering

You’ve said assume they’re the same age then stated haaland is going to be very good, doesn’t make sense. So he’d peak when he’s 30? Or in this alternate reality is Kane now 20?

Both extremely similar and evenly matched in every department but athletic ability. Haaland for me but it's very close and we don't even know if he has peaked yet. Haaland is naturally stronger and quicker by a small amount imo...thats all I can split them on.

He basically means to ignore age and just take them at face value in terms of ability. Obviously most would pick Haaland straight away as he is young and will possibly keep improving.
