To all deluded geordies out there (so most of you), I recommend watching 'the dissident'. Its about the murder of Jamal Khashoggi. Forget about football, its only a game afterall. Most of you were actually delighted with being taken over by murderers, I saw 100's of twitter accounts with saudi flags in their names from newcastle supporters at the time, tea towels on heads etc , thinking this is all one big joke and supporting Saudi Arabia. Have you any morals? Have you any respect for your club? You would become the laughing stock of the football world had the murderers took you over.

Chi Onwurah, MP Newcastle upon Tyne Central Ward, certain Newcastle City Council officials, NUFC fans and desperate, pathetic #cans 'journalists' like ardent Mags George Caulkin and Chris Waugh plus many more [Hardy, Bird, Hope etc.] should be made to watch The Dissident, purportedly one of the greatest real life documentaries ever made but which the major streaming companies and weak Governments are doing their best to ignore because of their business links to the Saudi regime. Then let's hear them say they are fit to take over NUFC. A journalist goes into the Saudi Embassy in Istanbul, is killed, dismembered by hacksaw and taken out of the back door by hired assassins and his remains have never been found and this is all being swept under the carpet in the name of money and 'diplomacy'.
The Turks had the media room bugged and in the docu you allegedly hear Jamal pleading for his life. Nice eh?

Right, so your position is that the majority of Newcastle fans are desperate to be owned by human rights abusers because Newcastle fans think that's a good thing?

You're a f***ing lunatic man.

Newcastle fans wanted a new owner, they would have written to parliament and made flags if the prospective buyers were from f***ing Narnia. I tell you what is pathetic, grown men being so blinded by football rivalry they genuinely believe their local rivals support human rights abuse.

Keep on back tracking if you go far enough you may be allowed back into the co-op you f***ing lunatic.

You know fine well and its funny to see you backtrack and squirm.

I didnt say you supported it but you would turn a blind eye to it and cheer on the new owners who have commited these crimes if they spent money.

More like being compliant with it or being used for sportwashing... which they got for 17m

Keep on back tracking but its pointless everyone knows you even more for the fools that you are.

Queen Amanada ffs

I think the overwhelming majority of politicians are vainglorious, power hungry, demagogue arseholes who'd sell out their own nan if it benefited their career.

I think media outlets' number 1 priority is profit. Those pushing the story were doing so because it would sell papers/get clicks and now there's little if any developments there's nowt to report. (some still link every story back to the takeover attempt though).
Well said.

Its bastard shocking it really is. His fiance was subjected to hate and the same fiance was aware of the MP support for her future husbands killers.

I ask all out there who have an MP who supported these killers to not let the swines off the hook.

@Fish - have a look at the many youtube channels dedicated to Newcastle for documented evidence. There were no dissenting voices whatsoever to the PIF takeover. As I said above if it was ALK buying you then that numpty would not have been camping at the PL HQ, you would not have been writing to MP's, people would not be changing social media profiles to the USA etc. You can pretend all your like, and dismiss twitter sentiment but the vast majority of fans had pound signs in their eyes. Now, many are backtracking and saying it was just to get rid of Ashley which is convenient when you are near the bottom. When Newcastle were comfortable Henry Mauriss was dismissed as not being rich enough so may as well stick with Ashley. E.g. from the Mag - "
Only the Saudi consortium will do."

QED
There were dissenting voices, I've seen loads on twitter, loads on message boards and I've two friends who stated they couldn't continue to support NEwcastle fi the Saudis took over.

I know it's the done thing to see the worst of Newcastle fans and paint us all as phonebox smashers, horse punchers and Saudiphiles, but it's just not true. Any small amount of scrutiny would reveal that people were excited about a takeover, were excited about the unbelievable wealth the Saudis have and hoped it would happen.

Henry Mauriss was dismissed because it had no substance, just like the BNG lot. And highlighting something in The Mag as somehow the voice of the fanbase is frankly absurd.

I just asked my then 6 year old to rattle off the 2014 side he got Mannone, Alonso, Oshea, Brown, Catts, Johnson, Borini (so missed Ki, Larsson, Bardo, Colback)........and also got subs Giaccerini, Fletcher. So not improbable a six year old remembers his first game. In fact he just told me it was this - - with my dad when he was five.
5 and 6 year old season ticket holders is a fairly modern occurrence. There were very few adult season ticket holders in the 70's.

Gonna try and watch it this weekend.

You're changing your tune here. I thought we were all supportive of the Saudi regime? Now we're just after the money. The latter is true which is why you'd have seen Tesla flags if it was Elon Musk looking to buy us.

It was 100% sportswashing, nobody is denying that. Again, there's far better ways to spend £17m than a failed takeover bid. Hell, they needn't have spent that, just feign interest without deposits, that alone would have been enough to get some fans excited.

"The Don" ffs.

Dunno what Jordan's problem is, but he always has his petty little digs. He's another one that'd say the sky is green for a little bit of attention.

Mind, anyone listening to talkSport needs their head examined anyway.

Disagree with that Fish. Others on there like Durham and White do it but not him IMO

the quarter back is more at fault taking the kick so quickly imho, if he'd had half a brain he might have realised that they'd taken the right back off and brought a winger on but he's so desperate so show he can actually contribute he takes the kick - he gets away with murder thanks to a goal from outside the box every 10 games, he's a fraud
This.
Shelvey never knows whats going on around him. Shite. I like to see his name on the team sheet.
