This government having a laugh not extending VAT cut to wet led pubs. Most locals are wet led, it’s the city/town centre type pubs that mostly do food. Hopefully they’ve got enough support and access to cash to get up and going again come May and people who want to keep this local institutions spend their cash there rather then chain shite.
 


I think they’re trying not to be seen to incentivise getting mortal. The reopening grants seem pretty decent from what I’ve read.

Im not sure about the VAT but people who drink in chain bars are missing the charm of what real local pubs have to offer. To paraphrase Bobby Moore I hope people "enjoy a pint down the local" as opposed to increasing Tim Martins profit margin.
