This government having a laugh not extending VAT cut to wet led pubs. Most locals are wet led, it’s the city/town centre type pubs that mostly do food. Hopefully they’ve got enough support and access to cash to get up and going again come May and people who want to keep this local institutions spend their cash there rather then chain shite.

Im not sure about the VAT but people who drink in chain bars are missing the charm of what real local pubs have to offer. To paraphrase Bobby Moore I hope people "enjoy a pint down the local" as opposed to increasing Tim Martins profit margin.

Aye, never gonna go in one of his pubs again. Spoons get a bad rep, but they're always clean, have a good selection of ales on and while most of their grub is microwaved, for the price you pay you can't knock it.
