FF7 Remake

Amzaing game back in the day and 5am finishes were notuncommon. I recently bought The new windows edition of FFXV..or whatever. Uninstalled after 20 or so hours. Didn't like the combat system one bit. The last FF game I played was 7 and 8 because I went from console to PC.

I think my heart isn't in it anymore, very fond memories but the newest version left me feeling a bit flat.
 


I was on a ban when I finished this so didn't comment at the time. I really enjoyed it. I thought most the side missions were just filler but liked the fleshed out main story. I see what people mean about the Shinra tower but I didn't hate it. I'll definitely play the future episodes.

Hated the whole whispers of fate shite they added personally

Thought the game itself was decent, enjoyed the combat etc. but I’m concerned about the fact they appear to have done a massive retcon. Will either be class or shite.
 
Downloading this atm, free with PS+. Never played any of these except maybe FF4 on the original playstation which I dont think I finished.

Generally not into RPG's and have no idea what is meant by turn based RPG that I keep seeing mentioned in relation to this game.

Any chance I'll actually like it do ye think, anything I should know?

Just enjoy it mate cracking game.

Remake easier than original but still good.

The fighting is turn based so basically you tell you team members moves to do which they then perform on the enemy. The enemy then gets a turn to attack you back whilst you wait out their moves. It's not like a western RPG where you are basically in control of the character actually performing the combos yourself with the controller.

Just noticed it's 90 odd gig. RDR2 file size!

They are releasing DLC when they put out the PS5 upgrade

Are there any actual changes to the ps5 version other than graphics etc.?

Sold my physical copy, but might just get the dlc on its own when it comes out if there’s nothing else.

I liked the changes to the story, I've played through FF7 a dozen times easily over the years, so the expansions and changes were welcome.

Characterisation wise the lasses were too thirsty with Cloud. He's nigh on a mute and surly as fuck at that point, why would they be interested.

Gameplay wise I wouldn't say I really struggled with the battle system, I clocked it, but it certainly didn't "click" with me.

Beautiful looking game imo.
