Florida

Good lord, why would you want to go to Florida in August? The weather literally anywhere else in the US except Las Vegas would be better then.
Av actually been loads in august/september. Last week august for 3 weeks was the best weather i’ve ever had there

I thought January was fantastic. I was there the whole month and it was a bit changeable, but mostly fantastic as long as you don't mind it being a bit cold early/late.

November was fantastic too. June/July were killers.

I reckon unlikely this year, we’re planning on next year

Don’t really want to go back until all social distancing is gone, masks gone, park hopping allowed again etc

That’s my favourite time too, weather nice. Things a bit quieter. Love Halloween stuff in the parks too
Was meant to be going last year which was obviously cancelled and booked for thia august but its up in the air. As you aay i wouldnt want social distancing/wearing masks over there

Went in April one year then July/Aug
another year .
April far better - less humid

Been in October a few times and once in June/July.

In the summer the humidity was horrendous soon as left A/C instantly sweating and couldn't lose it. A dry heat would have been better but walking around and queuing in the parks needed plenty frozen water in a cooler to bring with you.

April was the dry heat. I can take walking about in 30 *c but in the summer the humidity makes it unbearable.
As you said - step out the AC bedroom and you sweat .
The thought of wearing a mask aswell 😳

Been talking to Mrs M tonight about our next trip. We’re probably going to leave it a couple of years and go for 2023, If there’s guarantees things will be back to normal for 2022, then I might push to bring it forward.

We’ve been twice in August, wouldn’t go any other time. We stay in villas in davenport / Kissimmee area.
It’s red hot and you normally get a thunder storm around 4 in the afternoon for an hour and then it’s beautiful again. If we’re at the parks we’re normally there early and back in the pool by then anyway.
Last time we were there 2019 was a threatened hurricane ( it never effected us ), Labor Day and the opening of the nee Star Wars. All the other parks were pretty empty and no queues for the rides.

Been twice and said never go back as done everything.
Kids are getting mid teens .
However I’m starting to think maybe just one more- kids might just be that age when they enjoy different aspects of it.
Or maybe it’s lockdown fever

Went years ago with the currant bun first time was 1989 , had some great times there.

Went back a few years ago , it’s a fantastic place to go unless you want some solitude and relaxation 😉

I think you can getboth.

some days when we go we just around the pool in the villa all day

Best visit we had there was in 1994 , 3 return flights for £199 each , ended up staying in a brand new hotel for $29 per night for the room .

Saw the Holland v Ireland World Cup match and drove over to the east coast to see the space shuttle take off , best free show on earth.

My eldest is nearly nine and it's been just over a year since we were last there.

He says he doesn't think he'll be bothered about meeting the characters anymore, and he's too scared of the bigger rides. By the time we would go the others will be his age.

Not sure when we'll be back. It's somewhere that we are considering moving to, so maybe we just wait for that now (if it happens).

We spent over two weeks just chilling last time. Then two full on park weeks afterwards. In hindsight we did it back to front. 🤪
