Rightmove Voyeurism

What was it with polystyrene ceiling tiles? When we were looking for our first house, a serious contended had them throughout, plus bits cut out of walls to make small embedded parapets where models of Jesus stood blessing your trip up the stairs.

It would have been a lot of work, but being a first house not that brilliant at the end. I’d have probably had to rip the ceiling plasterboard down to get the tiles off. The old couple selling kept using phrases like “ oh we have not started looking yet, but you are in no hurry are you? We can move when the time is right”. I had the feeling it would take years to get them out.

I love the curtain on a string under the kitchen bench. I think that was a common feature in old people’s houses in Houghton when I had to go round the ‘old relative no idea who you are’ houses as a kid.

Had my eye on this house for ages, now it’s under offer, devvaz.

Westoe Village, South Shields

Always wanted to live in Westoe villagesince I was a nipper. Parking not ideal for this one that’s the only thing puts me off, as well as not being able to afford it yet!
I think my neighbour has bought that, looks lovely.
