Oculus Quest 2

Must say I used it a lot for a couple of weeks but not touched it in months. Release a realistic good golf game and I may reconsider selling it.
Pro Putt Topgolf? Originally just had a few mini golf courses but they've updated it with a driving range and pitching mini games.

Is it worth creating a developer account and sideloading apps onto this?

I don't have a USB-C connection on my mac, but I assume I just get a C to 3.0 cable to connect it to it to sideload apps?

Aye you can use a C to 3.0 cable.

Sidequest is a good resource for this stuff, some good pre-release stuff and demos on there.

Very good update to Virtual Desktop as well last couple of days - pretty much takes away the need for a link cable if you have decent wifi, the stability much improved and Quest supported by the app officially now without the mod previously needed.

I want to try that. I was going to buy a cable as I want to play Half Life Alyx and a few other PC vr games but I think I'll try the virtual desktop first. A video I seen said the Internet doesn't need to be that good if the PC is hardwired to the router. Don't know how true that is.

I'd give Virtual Desktop a go - you'll know fairly quickly if it works well enough for you and if not just go down the refund route (which I've not had to do yet but plenty say Oculus are good with their refund policy). Install the main app on Quest and there is a streaming app to download and install on PC. Doesn't need great internet as you say - more about your internal network connectivity - they recommend cable from PC to router but I've got a wifi-6 card in my PC and the quality/latency is perfectly usable.

The cables work great, but only when they work. Lots of complaints about Link being a bit crap in the last couple of Quest firmware updates, worked ok for me most of the time but still crashed the Oculus app on the PC quite often and I've found Virtual Desktop to be way better/more reliable.

Cheers. I will give it a go.

The Final Overs cricket game is available to download through App Lab, pretty fun and quite challenging. Hopefully with time they can add bowling to the game as well.

I paid for this when it was still on sidequest. It's decent and it's good that they keep adding improvements.

I'm sure it isn't that simple, but they need to adjust the fields. It's really easy once you learn the field for each bowler to farm 2's/3's into the gaps once you've played it a bit.

I keep getting done over by the spinners haha, but it just makes me want to keep playing the game to improve. Pretty rewarding trying to chase down the total in T20 mode.

Finally chased down my first T20 total with 11 balls to spare haha. Put 47 runs on with my last wicket, was canny intense haha can't wait to see how they improve the game.
