Wisdom tooth coming through...

Peegee

Winger
Hurts like a bitch. The wife thought it was hilarious that I had no idea what was causing the pain. Probably the first bit of dental pain I’ve had in my life.

Anyone else been through it? Any tips for the pain?

I have an extra set of wisdom teeth in my bottom jaw. One set came through when I was a teen. The other haven’t come through, but they like to move around and occasionally try to poke through on the INSIDE OF MY JAW towards my tongue, and then go back in again. Occasionally they pierce the skin, and then go in again.

So I laugh at your paltry single wisdom tooth.

Aye, pain on and off for years (more annoying than excruciating). The bastard has shifted my teeth too so one of my bottom canines is well forward, tempted to get it pulled

No idea if I’ve got any, can’t remember being in any massive pain so perhaps I haven’t or the OP is a (whatever it’s ok to say these days).

Same hear becs I had mine removed and a few years later someone showed up in a x ray, twice the wisdom teeth absolute no wisdom in me head
Overnighted in hospital after operation to remove mine. Good luck.
Yip me too, the bleeding would not stop so they would not send me home, a few others stayed in with me but by late night they were all tucking into takeaways I was told I was not allowed to eat as I would not stop bleeding, what a shite night that was

My lower right sometimes cuts through and sets off all the nerves in my neck, right bastard. Not bad enough to get it seen to though, more of an annoyance.
Had to get my upper left taken out because it was cutting my lower gum due to the way it was positioned. The needles were awful but the removal was f***ing class, like unsheathing a sword.

Did you get to keep it?

Sometimes they crack and need to be removed. Removal is not straight forward and often you get infections requiring antibiotics.

I hope yours are good ones though 👍

well I always assumed it was shit that happened when you were 10 years old but here I am in my 30’s getting one! 🤷‍♂️
I've been getting roughly one per decade since my mid twenties. Still have one to come through and I'm 56.
The first decayed almost immediately. The second grew diagonally out towards the cheek and caused a lot of pain. The dentist nearly gave himself a hernia pulling it out. Number 3 has been there a while now with no problems though.

when one of mine came through the swelling was such that i began to resemble John Merrick. When it was eventually removed it required so much effort I thought the dentist was giong to put his foot on my chest for leverage
