I've just watched the episode when they are doing up Ofelia Ortiz's house. I think her dad is the same actor who played the policeman who was with Oz when he won the lottery in Marbella.

No, he was a bloke with my mousey curly wavy hair if I remember correctly.

me neither until the other week. A video came up on my YouTube feed going through the whole main cast in a ‘Then and Now’type of thing. Like you say it seems so obvious once you know!

I worked in the old West Germany in the early 1980's.Drinking on the job was perfectly acceptable.
There were beer machines all over the yards. The kiosk outside the yard where the Germans used to buy their tabs & newspapers also used to sell ice cold bottles of schnapps for the lads.
Always had a few beers during the day.

My brother in law worked in Germany in the early eighties. He was supposed to work in a shipyard in Hamburg but they had him labouring on a new autobahn. The first thing the German lads did in the freezing cold mornings was to put a bottle of beer in the tarmac bucket to warm in up and then drink it.

Just to clarify, again, the lad in the picture posted by @OOOSH YEAH played the 10 year old Rod, nowt to do with the actor who played Rod in series 3.
Here he is in a scene where Oz gives him a Miami Dolphins Jacket. When Oz asks Rod what he thinks about Newcastle United he replies "RUBBISH"
