Cole Kitchen

Whatever the price I am going to give it a go next time I am on the coast

As said above walk up the road sit in Roker park and you have got a lush little place to eat and drink whatever you buy (stay away from the toilets)

Aye. Thinking about it I'm not even that big a fan of Pastrami so I'm not gonna bother.
Pastrami is awful like and I say this after paying $25 (yes, $25) for a 'world famous' one from Katz's deli in New York. Wouldn't have even went in if I'd known the price beforehand and it was shite to boot!

I was stood outside of Coles last week and wanted to get something but couldn't find the menu online and felt like a div looking through the window from the other side of the street.

Of course it's the location.
If you go to a top establishment -you pay for it. That is a fact.
The side street establishment of Roker - even though it is in the Riviera - is not in Ego Ronay's good food guide as far as I know.
That's why you pay more for a steak at Miller and Carters than at Wetherspoons - the comparisons are endless.
Nothing to do with settling for average.
Just a simple case of being taken for a ride - which I won't be. £9 for a f***ing sarnie - give your head a shake.!

Nah - fools and their money are easily parted.
I'm no fool M00, and won't have my pants taken down by extortionate prices for over priced bait. Or drink for that matter. 👍
You don’t pay more for a steak in Miller & Carter than Weatherspoons because Miller & Carter has a nicer setting. It’s the product.

Now what you’re saying to a certain degree is true, we were told in Rome if we didn’t want our eyes taken out, don’t use restaurants overlooking a landmark, the price will shoot up. But just cos Sunderland isn’t Rome, Paris or London doesn’t mean we can’t have decent hospitality venues charging a dear price for a better product.

Looking at the menu, Cole’s isn’t selling its produce on location, it’s doing it on the basis they believe they’ve got a good product that let’s face it, you’ll struggle to get anywhere else around there.
Pleased i posted it, waiting for my freebies for being an ‘influencer’
You need to post a picture of yourself outside in speedos first

Nope - another excuse for places to fleece the punters with shite beer.
I love the old "real ale" beers that have been around for years mind, like "Directors", "Landlord", "Black Sheep", "Rigg Welter".
Some of the cans that on sale for over £7 for a 440ml can is taking the piss big style.
But Guinness is my usual tipple - always a decent pint wherever you go.

What do you think about the price of expensive wine? Genuinely interested do you have the same opinion on wine as you do beer? Do you only drink Blue Nun 😂

Ok then, I’ll let you off with that. You drink ok beer ;)

However, I do do a few £7 cans every now & then. That’s not a night out though.

Some I’d 100% buy again, some are shite. I still buy Murphys from B&M for a session.

But, it comes back to, of the product is good, I’d buy another £7 can in future.

Not open on a Sunday is it?

Just thinking, be canny odd me saying I will get my usual Sunday coffee if it wasn't open on a Sunday
Meal deal mafia

It's the best option in many mainstream pubs tbf. But gets left behind with the proper gear.

He's always on about costs of things. Walks out of places if he thinks it's a bit pricey. Each to their own like but life's too short for that type of carry on.
