Craft Beer

Had a dodge across to one of the local bottle shops earlier to pick up a few. Decided to cut down on the big abvs after waking up this morning with a killer headache after one too many DIPAs.
Nothing too exciting but all belters.

Vault City Apricot session sour, and a pink grapefruit sour
DEYA into the haze IPA and a steady rolling man pale
London Beer Factory wild ale infused with hibiscus
Hammerton peach gose
Lost and Grounded Keller pils
An Oude Gueuze boon
An Orbit Helles and a koln lager
Yonder raspberry gose
Augustiner Helles

Think that’s the other one I bought.
It’s well thought of. & at 9% it’ll get you on your way to being nice & happy.

Some of them sounded rotten

Reet, next time I’m in Blues I’m going to ask them to pick a couple of these goses & sours for me. Entry price stuff so I’m not wasting money if I’m hoying it down the drain. There’s a whole beer world out there I’m not trying.

You just need to find a way to ease yourself in! Maybe a gueuze as they're less sour and quite dry, so it's not overpowering and it is very drinkable. They're cracking beers and perfect as a refresher in a nice summers day.

I've always enjoyed the Belgian style mixed fermentation stuff so I'm pleased to see it growing in popularity over here.

East Coast inc got a nice hazy IPA on draft at £8.50 a litre. Cracking deal on a sour he has on also at £5 a litre.

Picked up a new Pineapple DIPA he has, 8% and £7 a cans pricey but fuck it why not.

I drive past Blues to get to Seaburn but I’ve never been in, will dodge in next weekend.

Saisons are a good starting point as well, got the funk but without the sourness. Plenty of the fruity Berliner Weiss styles that are quite popular as well or a north triple fruited gose, not overly sharp or acidic.

Lovely that

Just had my cherry cola sour ipa by northern monk. Very easy to drink, little light at 4.5% but I could sink a dozen of them in the sun.

Onto an almasty Pineapple Express

Try a Vault City session sour? Failing that just ask Callum for a really mild one by someone else. I'd tried a couple before but the Vault City stuff always sounds, and looks, really good.

Goses no idea, don't appeal

How is pineapple express? Thought I had one in garage but must have drank it when sloshed and can't remember

Mad that it's fairly common place in southern Germany we're paying knocking on four quid a bottle here. It is absolutely fantastic though, could (and have!) drank litres of it in a go.

It's a shame that places like Donzoko and Orbit aren't benefiting from that ecocony of scale because they're both knocking out beautiful lagers.
You really need a can of Mr Sipling from s43 then. Battenburg sour. Every bit as weird as it sounds
Love the new profile pic you little fcbc slag.
