India v England series

It’s you that started engaging mate I was having a bit of friendly banter with chunks til you lowered the tone. Foakes is a fantastic keeper as good as I’ve seen. Outstanding.

I'm a stats man, what can I say. And its a mad stat about the current keepers. But agendas though.

The problem Foakes has got apart from being in competition with two other outstanding batsmen/wicketkeepers is that the skills he is showing in this test are far more redundant in English conditions when most of the time you stand 25 yards back waiting for nicks from medium/fast bowlers.
He has always been the best of the three standing up which is where you judge a keeper but Butter in particular is a massive part of the leadership of this current team and probably the most important point is he is clearly Roots man and the captain should always have the final say on picking the side.

I can hardly for our second innings like.

Arguably good enough to play as a number six batsman though

I'm not sure what your point is. Foakes is probably the best keeper in the world, he is definitely a better keeper than Buttler who has kept very well himself lately. I hope he gets more opportunities because hes a joy to watch. If he plays instead of Buttler I will be pleased for him but think it would be a bit harsh on Buttler who has had a very good year. Now that's in sharp contarst to you who was aggressive, piss taking and utterly certain in your ground that Buttler was indeed useless. Third best keeper batsman at Lancashire, smilies when he failed etc. And yes you hated it when he proved you wrong and other posters right who had more faith in him. A complete failure to laugh at yourself or just admit you were wrong as everyone else can do with ease. I thought Sibley was a bad selection, thought his game was too limited and flaws to obvious to be a success at test cricket but I was very wrong. Hes got a great ability to improve and work on his weak areas and i'm delighted for him. We are just different types of people mate ;)

They are just showing England that it is possible to score runs on this pitch

Of course. The pitch was very challenging but:

Innings 1 - India can score 329 on it
Innings 3 - India can score 250 on it

If a pitch isn't dangerous and one team can score the type of runs you get in a test match in England you cant complain.
