Attracts rats ffs.My Mrs thinks we have a responsibility to feed every bird within 100 miles, stuff she puts out every day, costs a small fortune but worth it to see a multitude of different types all the time
... and rats and fkn pigeons (flyin rats)It's the bastard crows and magpies....
I’m in a battle killing rats at the minuteAttracts rats ffs.
Must've been a big Robin to set your outside light offWas just looking out at the snow and noticed a robin was eating seed on the bird feeder. The outside light is on. I didn't think they fed this late at night!
We get Oystercatchers nearby in the fields now they got a call
Daft next door neighbour feeds seagulls on her lawn. Guess what our car gets covered in?
I chop the rind off and cut it into small pieces, fry off then crumble some bread in to soak the remaining oil up. Birds gan mad for it when it goes on the bird tableSeems a daft question here but do most people put out cooked or uncooked bacon rind for the birds?

Had a few green finches at the feeders, along with blue and great tits.
Had wood pigeons, blackbirds, doves and jackdaws all sitting in the tree waiting for me to put stuff out on the bird table round the side, greedy gits have snaffled the lot apart from nyger seeds
I had 2 small mice helping themselves to the bird feed in our garden, then a big rat turned up and chased them off. Put a poison bait box down and rat disappeared and mice came back.
Would it encourage more birds in if i erected a bird table and put food out on that instead of feeders?
aye, they dont play games, same as waxwings , strip the trees and move on.Had what can only be described as a colony of Fieldfares descend on my garden. Must've been around 40 of them and they stripped the berries of the trees and away.
First time I've spotted them.
