NFL 2020

Grumpy Monday after losing to Grampa Bay.

Payton loves his gambles...but not having Murray and Hill meant we were limited on "wrinkle " players/plays. Something that set us apart. Losing Harris forced us into being a more conventional, if not pedestrian, offense.

Drab offensive performance but credit to the Bucs.

Another play off failure :( at least this time there can be no complaints. No miracles. No awful calls. Saints beat themselves last night, or rather Brees beat the Saints last night. Sad to see how it’s ended. The game should have been in complete control; back-to-back three and outs yielding just six points and Harris’ 66 yard return chalked off for a brain fart of shove - should have been three early scores up really. What happened in the end was akin to a dog who you know realistically needs putting to sleep but you obviously don’t want to. Really, really poor on offence.Suppose it’s not entirely Brees’ fault, Cook - who’s had a minging season - should shoulder some for his fumble, but the passing game just not there. It’s typical really, beat them at home in the regular season, put on the performance of the season in Tampa to blow them out and then lose against them when it matters. In fairness, the Buccs will give Green Bay a better game than Saints would have.

Long way back for Saints now. Brees going and the obvious QB dilemma, a near $100m cap problem with a number of the team now in need of bigger deals as well as free agent contracts and a number of the coaching and front office staff set to move on. Very much the hallmarks of an end of an era in NOLA. Was described as a Super Bowl or bust season and it’ll play out that way. Really surprising that this team hasn’t at least reached the big game in the past four years given its depth. For all the great things of the Payton/ Brees era it will still have to go down as a missed opportunity this period. Gutted - although not as much as the last few years as it never quite felt right this season. Ever since that loss in week two in Vegas it never quite felt like a Super Bowl team and both Rodgers and Mahomes have shown that by swooping in and comfortably winning in the Superdome. Ah well...it’s the hope you can't stand.
I think Cook's fumble changed the game up by 7 going into Bucs half and ended up with Bucs having the ball with good field position. On the basis of that game both Bucs and Saints will get pummeled by the Packers anyway!

Difficult to say as the Packers weren't playing either of those two who are both better than an injury plagued Rams team.
Still expect the Packers to win though and it'll be them against the Chiefs if Mahomes passes fit in time, if not fully expect the Bills to win

Seahawks want Gase as OC. 😂😂😂

Someone check on Jamal Adams please.

Former Jets HC and Bucs DC Todd Bowles linked with the Eagles HC aswell.

'The Pittsburgh Steelers interviewed former Browns Head Coach Hue Jackson earlier this week for the offensive coordinator position per a league source.'

Oh good lord.

@RapSheet
Former Washington Football Team QB Dwayne Haskins has a visit with the #Steelers today, sources say. Some potential QB depth and upside. The free agent and ex-first round pick also recently visited the #Panthers.

Big Ben’s replacement in the bag. Congrats

 Looks like he's signed, I guess it's a no loss situation if he comes in and puts the work in then who knows we've got a 1st round talent for nowt but if not then we haven't lost much.
Ben will have one year max left in him? Just looking at Manning and now Rivers going and then all of his injuries.

He plans to return from the sounds of it, unfortunately! Can only hope we get some decent o linesmen and a running back to take the pressure off.
Surprised by that, maybe if you got to the championship game it would have been different.

Couldn’t see him wanting to go through all of the off season again after everything he went through to get back with a limiting injury. When your arm goes you’re a complete liability anarl.

Yeah I thought the Browns game would have made him quit. He's pretty much a game manager now and once teams found he wouldn't throw it downfield the 5 yard slants, wr screen etc were easy to defend against also didn't help that the run game was non existent meaning the old QB who's just come back from a serious elbow injury has to throw it 50 times a game. In fact the more I think about it the more I have no idea why he wants to comeback, no cap space next season either so fixing the O line isn't going to happen very quickly.

Rebuild job on then? Guessing they won’t try to keep the likes of Juju this off season.

Haskins will not last a year with the Steelers, he struggles with learning any form of playbook and his eye movemnets give away where he will pass the ball. But it's a low risk gamble, he's still on his rookies deal.

He's only on a 1 year deal here only hope for him is that his struggles were down to not putting the effort in and that he gets motivated chances are slim but it's worth a gamble, he'll probably be cut by pre season.

Mahomes out of the Covid protocol. Hopefully Joe Biden steps in and keeps him in the protocol till Monday for his own personal health.
