SpaceX are going for it

It strikes me as pretty self-involved to see people that turn up once in a few generations that have the intelligence and drive to carry out incredible plans and your primary concern is if they're the type of bloke you'd want a pint with.

Yes, your cure for Alzheimer's and revolutionary new way of harnessing energy so a entire town can be powered from a single 9 volt battery may seem marvellous, but we just have to do one last check whether Barry from Seaham thinks you're a dick or not.

Any live tests happening SpaceX / NASA today? Love owt like this me, have to say space exploration & Astronomy is probably second on my list of choice careers behind Politics.

Never heard of these before but looks amazing

For some reason it starts part way though, watch from the beginning

Calling someone a daft nonce is one of life’s little pleasures. Always gets a good laugh, not sure why he got all the stick for it.

Other than the boosters coming down to land which was totally class I struggle to get excited by still using 1960's technology.

In 60 years they haven't moved on from the rocket.

I keep getting told that technology is moving at an 'amazing pace' yet space travel is still basic rockets, car travel is still essentially the same, aeroplanes still have jet engines.

Fundamentally nowt has changed for a very long time or its very secret.

SLS is a pointless waste of money.

space x’s raptor engines are a game changer tbh. They are the new tech. The pace space x are going at now will be crazy. Jim Brinstine clearly favours them.

starship with new stainless steel development is going to be brilliant.

elon musk rekons that he’s going to catch the boosters instead of landing them. Mental.

it’s a political exercise. It’s built all over because senators want jobs for their states. They are literally using decade old engines, designed a long time ago and going to spend a fortune building each one to put it in the sea after one use. It’s not sustainable.

yep, there is no excuse to continue with it especially with starship and new glenn development.

Chinese, Europeans, Indians and Hot air from Russians about using reusable rockets now.

everything’s moved past Boeing and LM and they’ve sat and took billions upon billions for nothing. Look at the clip of starliner.

Hand shakes under the table all over, I’m sure they had to withdraw a contract for a probe that was passed on law to be launched by SLS and have handed it to SH with space x because they couldn’t get rocket built.

SPACEX are about to test the 3 new raptor engines in an hour or so, if this goes well Launch of SN9 should be in the next couple of days, this is history happening

nasaspaceflight and everyday astronaut have live streams on YouTube right now
its truly amazing that spacex allow so MUCH access if you watch youtube we get to see a lot of behind the scenes stuff
