Can't hold back the tears..

When I was a nipper, I went to see Airplane at the local ABC. When they showed the "shit's gonna hit the fan" scene I was crying with laughter for almost the rest of the film.

Still makes me giggle 40 years on.

Not a film as such but there's a bit in The Penlee lifeboat documentary that's a bit dusty. When the coxswain of the lifeboat is talking to the coastguard and the radio goes dead. The catch in the coastguards voice as he realises what's happened and he's not going to get an answer on the radio

I’ve never watched it as I know I’d be a f#cking mess, any dog dying in films gets me every time.
I have had labs most of my life and it was too close to home, the sad bit at the end went on for so long that it was impossible to hold back, was sitting watching it with the wife and kids and don’t think they had seen me cry before!

Again not a movie but in Sunderland Till I Die there is an interview with a couple of lads in the Colliery Tavern and one says 'We'll be back' the music comes on and it gets me.

When Dumbo get separated from his Mam and goes to visit her...

The start of Up when you find out that she’s had a miscarriage. Always give the bairn an extra big cuddle when that bit is on.

The opening credits, with the music and all the images and that.

Was hungover when I first watched them. Nearly had me just from that.

Ive got a few

2 have already been mentioned, end of Gladiator and Saving Private Ryan.

The ending of Black Hawk Down when Eversmann is talking and surrounded by dead bodies and he is just talking to one and says something like "ill talk to your mum and dad when I get back okay?" and Hans Zimmers score kicks in.

Also, as a kid I always used to get upset at Littlefoots mam dying in the Land Before Time. Havent seen that as a kid so dunno if it would still affect me now

Still the scene in Jude, the film of Jude the Obscure. You know which scene. The scene

Judes son from his first marriage kills his younger toddler half siblings and then commits suicide by hanging himself

horrible

also the 2000 acres of Sky, the Kenny death episode where you think he's been saved but he's actually hallucinating while slowly freezing to death on a beach. By the time he snaps out of the hallucination he's too far gone

I always found adults crying at movies a bit wierd until I watched "For Sama". Its a bit different with it been a docu film and everything is real but there's a part where two young boys are standing in the hospital when their brother dies and thats it, no one there to comfort them or fairytale ending. Its f***ing heart breaking stuff. I reccomend it to anyone interested in the brutal reality of the middle east.
I really want to watch this, but I know I’m going to be in bits.
Watched Disney / Pixar's SOUL on Saturday and the end had me proper blubbing.

(I did look for a YouTube clip of it but there appears to be one or two different versions online - none of which were the same ending that I saw!)
I’ve heard good things about Soul. Going to try to find time to watch it.
