BT Whole Home Hub - force connection to a specific point?

Anyone else got one of these? It’s working brilliantly and I always get 100mb right at the top of the house.

But is there a way to force a device to connect to a specific disc? I knocked one of my discs over and it rebooted and now all the devices in that room are connecting to another room’s disc even though the signal is worse.

Can’t find anything online about it.

Reboot it all. Or the device the have connected too
I have. Still connects to the wrong one. The main problem is the disc it (wrongly) connects to is the main one that’s plugged into the router with Ethernet so I think it powers up first and everything connects to it.
Forget the network on the wifi device and re-add it near that disc
That’s a massive pain as I have to reset a load of settings on many devices. The one in particular is an outdoor camera which is really difficult to re-pair to the network without deleting it from the camera app. Long story but it’s a pain.

Can you unplug the one you don’t want it to connect too.
Also check the one you want to connect to is actually working

Done that, but because it’s the “main” one, it means if I reboot it they all reboot. Then it boots up before all the others (because they’re chained off it) so everything automatically connects to it first.

Usually 15 mins or so. What is the device? Can you turn it off and on again?
It’s come back on to the right disc now, cheers. Think it took about 15 mins. Yesterday it was playing silly buggers and not doing it.

It an outside camera, so it’s a bit of a pain to switch it off and on again but looks like sorted now. Thanks.

They're a right faff on. Really wish I didn't sign up for whole home, I should have just moved to a different room for better coverage.

I found the best thing to do to stop the devices switching all the time is to set a fixed channel for both 2.4 and 5ghz. The idea of the channels is to make one access point clearly better than another, switching to "the best" channel all of the time causes the constant flickering of devices between 2 access points.

Unfortunately when you do this you need to re connect phones and PCs to the network.

To be honest, apart from this one device connecting to the wrong disc, the Whole Home hub has been great. 100mb in my loft.
