Spinning Bike....

Just bought a spin bike for home as we can't get to the gym....

Anyone use one and if so any decent apps to use for classes of sessions?

I didn't want to fork out for the peleton bike and classes....

I'm thinking the same...how sturdy are they when you are standing up high intensity peddling?

Not sure, it hasn't arrived yet, its due at the weekend....

I done a bit research and the one I've got seems to be decent enough, I was surprised how hard it was to get one, most were due for delivery mid February....

Just jump on and pedal, pedal a bit faster or for longer if you don’t see any initial benefit.

Edit: I forgot to mention turning the resistance level up as well, if you can’t pedal the brake is on.

Was one mentioned today on the tele called Zwift. Wasn't free but cheaper than the Peleton subscription

you need a smart trainer for that, or something that gives out Wattage and cadence. and preferably a heart rate monitor. and for zwift its better if the resistance can be controlled by the app to mimic gradients.

Loads of work mates have zwift. I personally just use a turbo trainer and Hoy on some catch up telly. Normally do an hour steady cadence burn around 600 cals with heart rate around the 125 to 150 bpm mark which is good enough for me

Which one did you go for mate? Looking for one myself at the moment.

just started that apple fitness and done about 5 classes since I signed up last week. It’s a free month trial, £9.99 after I think.

good if you have an Apple Watch but not essential as only shows your heart rate, calories burned etc metrics.

been decent so far whilst gyms are closed
