Teriyaki aubergine with spicy pickled cucumber and rice tonight. Truly truly scrumptious.
Got a recipe pal?

Chickpea, pepper and tenderstem broccoli wrap for me. Mixed together with smoked paprika, cayanne pepper, chilli powder, salt, pepper and oil. Roasted in the oven then into a wrap with hummus, hods of sriracha soss, bit of garlic mayo and a handful of spinach. Lusherooney.

Made a topper crispy tofu katsu last night as well.

Yes mate it’s just this gousto recipe we followed, turned out lovely! -

Do other vegans on here take any supplements? I take B12 and Omega 3. Get my bloods tested every few months - all spot on. Iron, diabetes levels, cholesterol, CRP etc.
No but I eat loads of marmite and nutritional yeast.

There are a lot of enriched sources for it and if you eat enough you don’t need to supplement.

Reported.

They only produce milk "naturally" after someone or something has wanked off a bull then a farmer puts his hand up a cows arse to open her pelvis and then uses a massive syringe to insert the bulls semen into the cow and then her baby is taken away after a couple of days to be slaughtered for veal or to be used in the next batch of dairy cows.

All completely natural...
Once you get it, there’s no going back. Wish more people could see through the dairy and meat marketing lies and cover ups.
I do like the look of some of the dishes and I’m non vegetarian or vegan but they all seem a right clart on. What do you’s grab as a go to snack.
Peanut butter on brown toast for me. It’s a complete protein.

There needs to be some thought out into it, I reckon. Not much effort but a little thought. Most of what I eat is made from scratch because a lot of the convenience stuff is rubbish.

I agree. Slave ownership was seen as perfectly fine a while back.

I’m not vegan but often stock up on One Pots (Aldi stock them). Most of the flavours are vegan and all are bloody tasty. Low calorie too.

In England I microwave Linda McCartney sausages and have a sausage sandwich with ketchup. Over here I go to a Com chay place - the food is already cooked so you pick the ones you want on top of rice. Depending which one there’s up to 20 choices of different style tofu/fake meat and vegetables to pick from. Costs about the equivalent 65p. Or vegan banh mi.

this crazy woman cooks tofu well.

I made this last night and realised I’ve been cooking tofu wrong. It’s so much better when it’s cooked for a longer period. I cooked a full block sliced in that sauce. Simple, spicy and tasty. Added red onion, red pepper and mushrooms.
Quite a few cereal bars are vegan, so they are ideal when I’m busy.
Have you tried Trek bars? They have between 9g and 15g of protein. Good variety.

There so many types of tofu. I hate silken tofu, it makes me gag. But the firm stuff with a crispy coating is quite nice. A few months ago I decided to start cooking at home so bought sauces for cooking or marinating tofu - teriyaki sauce, spare rib sauce, galangal marinated sauce, and dipping sauce. I bought 2 of each. They’re all still in the cupboard untouched as it’s so cheap and easy to eat out here.
