Going for a walk

Walk the dog everyday but since September I've bought myself one of those fitness trackers and done at least 10k of steps each day.

Its amazing how motivating keeping the streak going is.

Same here, becomes a bit obsessive, seems a failure of a day of I haven’t done 15k in steps.
I have two dogs so it’s slightly easier than just popping out for a wander

It is amazing what you can do when you get into the routine. I used to find it hard to motivate myself to do any form of exercise and these days I find it hard not to exercise

I do it regularly, always look to go down by the river as it pretty quiet normally. Great to get a bit exercise and helps me think actually.

I tend to think as walking somewhere as a chore. Wish I didn’t have this mentality. As I’d love to Put on coat and shoes and just get out with no particular destination in mind. You’re lucky.

I love a good walk in the countryside. I try to walk as much as I can on weekends if I ain’t running. Being outdoors is great for my mental health and it is good to make the most of it.

But how do you go about dragging your arse off the settee or are you a pretty motivated person in general

love doing it. got back into it around sept 2018 when a mate challenged me to do ben nevis which i did in july 2019.

literally just been doing my walking activity stats for 2020 and i managed 1017 miles which isn't too bad given since august I've had a foot injury. done 865 in 2019. got myself a garmin watch, ideal.

genuinely enjoy just getting out and taking my mind off things. the challenges in strava and garmin connect are very good.

there is also a 1000 mile challenge online which is good.
