Takeover News/Rumours - Part 42

But the clear upshot - clear because its already happened - is a fundamental change in the way the club is run, with a Sporting Director calling the shots. This does change everything.

Meanwhile, we have more means and access to money should we need it.

Who f***ing cares if Donald retains a stake to make some money? Not me, or at least not anywhere near as much as I care about the above.
Spot on that about changes taking place. Plenty will care about Donald And Methven staying around though. Quite rightly too.

Maybe you should have said it wasn’t factual when you stated share percentages in your post earlier. My point is we don’t know how the shares will be allocated until those involved decide to let us know.

I do care about Methven tbf, absolutely can't stand him.

What I'm saying is they aren't making big decisions anymore. Speakman and, to a lesser extent, Rodwell are.

It's much more important to stop them making decisions than it is to drive them out totally, though I'd obviously prefer the latter.

How do we know who is/isn't making decisions? They certainly appointed Rodwell and it was SD talking to Johnson so not sure how we can say they aren't making decisions.

Well, the fact is that to say anyone other than Donald were making decisions like hiring the SD or Johnson, would be very shady in the eyes of the League - this is a legal point. Donald remains the owner until it goes through and it hasn't gone through, has it? So there is that.

As for whether you believe if will, its basically an act of faith. I would suggest that the fact we've hired the SD- and I would recommend his podcast interview - means the club is completely changing its approach, either way. If Donald is driving that - then good for him. However, I rather suspect he is not, given how against the grain it would be compared to the last 2 years of basic malpractice.

Important thing is that the approach has changed substantially. Like, if Donald has a head transplant and starts making good decisions, then who cares if he stays?

If we only posted what we know this thread wouldn't exist. The share % came from an article I read, apologies for not stating that.
Lets hope it's wrong, if correct the three stooges will still own over half of the shares.

It's not in the eyes of the league, Rodwell was appointed by the current owners, surely there is no doubt about that? It was Donald who has spoken to the new head coach we know that from interviews, it's possible that Johnson has said that to throw the league off in some kind of elaborate cover up but seems unlikely.

I reckon as it stands the most likely outcome is that the old and new shareholders are working together rather than being opposed and that it's entirely possible that SD and CM are and will still be involved in decisions going forward.

It's a very valid point, I have listened to the podcast and all sounds good and there is a question as to whether it matters who is making the decisions as long as they are the right ones, but that won't be known for some time.

Isn't Stewart a gambler, sacking Parkinson may have been a gamble he was willing to take if he badly wants the club promoted.

As far as I'm concerned, even if SD and Charlie are still part owners and even if they are still included in the decision making, I'm seeing the changes and I'm hearing the things I've wanted to see for years so I'm happy.

Seems the ITKs have gone very quiet. No more loose lips around the whole thing might mean it is actually with the EFL now?
Probably because nobody has got anything right to be honest.

In the last year we've had FPP as new owners, huge investment, plans to improve the city, Poyet in as manager and has met the players, Schwarz likely to join as DoF and a monorail.

Not one person mentioned Dreyfus until it broke through L'Equipe, nobody mentioned Johnson as manager either until it broke from various news sources and nobody mentioned Speakman until that broke through Football Insider.

Also advised Donald is now a silent shareholder and will no longer have any involvement in the club, until Johnson confirmed he spoke to him at length.

Apart from that bang on, ties in with what i've heard IIRC.
