Leadbitter has been fine. He’s done the deep role as asked and remains our most comfortable in possession. The two ahead have been garbage though. Dobbo and Neil on for them two would be the only changes I’d make. Keep the front three the same as they need minutes (for different reasons) and have done okay.

👍

Defence backing off and lack of legs in midfield for me. Remnants of parkyball.
I agree with your summation. When you let someone run 50 yards through the middle, you can't really moan about the 'keeper not saving the shot. Weak as piss through the middle of the park.

Thanks for the heads up about the 6pm kick off @becs ... which I saw at 7pm when I looked for the team news  .

Anyway, I've missed the first half so have we been brilliant or just excellent ?

If he's true to the way he managed at City, he'll play. What he's doing tonight will impress him. Gooch will have a fight getting his place back.
Yes, I think it will be quite a pivotal decision. I have expressed a lot of scepticism regarding his appointment but he needs to back up his words - he is credited with bringing youngsters in and has already said we are desperate for pace. If he doesn't play Diamond on Saturday then it will suggest he lacks courage and it will be massive ammunition for the likes of me who is so sceptical regarding his appointment. If he does play Diamond on Saturday it would be big credit for me and would get much more support from the fans.

Think Diamond has shown how pace and enthusiasm can make things happen. Even without outstanding quality. It just makes defenders at this level make mistakes

Noticeable how many more we're getting in the box, and usually someone going to the near post.
That was one of Johnson's observations after the Wigan debacle, wasn't it? Looks like he's acted quickly on that front.

f***ing hell, Benno's singing along to Mouldy Old Dough. He's nee crooner, like.

Also that first half shows that Hume is better than McFadzean imo. He’ll do a job as cover but he’s not the player that Denver is.

Disagree. Primary job for a fullback in a 4 is to defend. Hume can’t defend. McFadzean has shown previously that he can go forward but Flanagan behind him is killing him in possession being slow and indecisive.
