True but he's just back from a lengthy lay off, coming into a side that's playing shite and most of the senior pros couldn't give a monkeys. Not a great setting for him to shine. Same goes with some of the other positions, weve seen hundreds of terrible first team performances combined from Grigg, Maguire and Graham yet they're all still guaranteed to be in the squad. Obviously the new fella needs to make his own mind up about each of them. Hopefully it doesn't take too long to see they will never give us anything, bin them off and build for the future with the kids.
 
Good to see Patterson, Diamond and Sanderson involved.

Guess he’s using it as a chance to get to know his first team squad a bit more, with a sprinkling of youth.

He probably wants to see a bit more of them before putting them in the squad. That said I’d put a wheely bin on the bench before DFG
