His record isn't very good and Bristol City fans didn't like him. I'm not sure why people are getting angry with the people who are not enthusiastic about this appointment.

A few things to remember here, with some of our fans he was on a hiding to nothing, they didn’t like him as a player mainly because his Dad Gary was manager at the time and thought he was only in the team due to nepotism. When he came back as manager a lot of that prejudice was still festering away and continued through out his tenure. Yes he’s a streaky manager, but with you he’ll be working with the best squad in the league by a mile, with us he was always up against it in the Championship, players always leaving when a decent offer came in. If he can get you out of L1, then I’m sure he’ll see it as a chance to really kick on in the Championship, and exceed what he did with us.

Regardless I'm pleased we look to finally have a vision and plan and they're setting up accordingly. Would far rather have had a manager who would buy in to it and also have made some notable achievements or be on an upward trajectory but there you go. Johnson is young and hopefully the new system allows him to flourish. We've all wanted someone who will give the young lads a chance so there you go.
