Which podcast was that mate?
Yes. He panicked and put everyone behind the ball.
He did. We were very set up not to get beat.NOPE.
He left Bordeaux IIRC as the board sold his striker above his head and they didnt have a replacment.. Not sure about the other clubs like!

what he did speaks louder. You are obviously not willing to hear what he had to say.
The first 8 months of his tenure is enough for me to take him back.

I’m not sure they would bring Gus back
but if they did, I think people would need to accept a gradual change in fortunes
the last time he was manager he was trying to change the entire philosophy of the football club.......a lot more possession football, passing the ball a gazillion times. It would have been a long term thing
Malcolm Crosby got us to a cup final so that's not really a decent barometer. Aside from that you've mentioned 2 and a half matches. Although I accept there were highlights, most of the time it was a hard watch. There was too much tippy tappy and not enough intent, very much like watching continental football. I'm sure when you were at Bradford you were sick of watching it.So hideous that we got to a cup final and played Man City off the pitch for 45 minutes. We also played Man United and Chelsea off the pitch as well.
It went sour at the end and I was there at Bradford calling for him to go, but fuck me, I'd crawl over glass to have him back now. He had an attitude and he had a plan. We're in League 1 and absolutely wank. He'd give us an enormous boost.
Poyet now at odds on to be appointed
I don’t mind his return. Some of the results we had are only beaten by two seasons under Reid.Gustavo Poyet admits he would like to one day return to Sunderland as manager
Popular ex-Sunderland boss Gustavo Poyet has admitted in an interview that he would like to one day return to the club as manager.rokerreport.sbnation.com
If gus would come I'd deffo be welcoming but these fuckwits aren't even capable of stringing 3 passes together. They lose their head when the ball goes over the half way line.We disagree with the ability of our squad or maybe how little ability is required to just pass the ball on the deck I guess?
Who do you want as manager instead?
No way Big Sam would drop down to League 1Pearson
Poyet
Allardyce
obviously all subject to take over to be remotely realistic.
allardyce or Pearson possibly better equipped for league 1 with the current squad
Problem is Poyet doesn't really play front foot football (which for me is a high tempo high pressing game) its a measured possession based game probing at the opposition.I don’t mind his return. Some of the results we had are only beaten by two seasons under Reid.
just get safc on the front foot and go for teams in this awful division. You see the errors weekly on the highlights of league one games.
