Not if potential new owner who is 23 remember hasn’t got a clue about what’s been going on while these idiots have owned us, as the kid more than likely been told a whole pack of lies by Charlie to get his role back and £100k+ a year salary for his part time job, plenty on here and many more Safc fans were fooled by the prat and his bullshit for long enough, so why would this kid Dreyfus, not be the same.

That’s the big worry for me.

I'm pretty sure he'll know what's been happening at the club, i very much doubt he's a total mug.

Because we're too emotionally invested and were desperate for a change after 2 successive relegations, Moyes, Bain, Grayson et al. You think Dreyfus will be the same?

From what we've read so far,the lad seems to be very bright and mature.
Following a close look at the club, and its' situation under the present ownership,I doubt whether he would be taken in by any fanciful yarns being spun in his direction by anyone.

Over the years I’ve learnt that just because you have had a private education, sent to university and have plenty of money doesn’t make you smart.
Look at our present bunch, prime examples.

Yeah that’s the problem and that’s why we need to take a more pragmatic approach to any new ownership - particularly if it involves Donald and Methven remaining in any capacity whatsoever.

The amount of fans, ex-players, media figures, podcasters and SMB posters - myself included who were given pelters for questioning their ownership from very early on when red flags began to appear (a couple of minutes into their first interview if we’re being honest) was pretty shameful.

Of course this was in the main brought on by Donald and Methven themselves who basically took massive advantage of fans who just wanted to embrace any form of change whatsoever so they went on - what we all know now - was a mock charm offensive which got many onside straight away and by the time they were found out properly it was too late and we find ourselves where we are now.

It’s nice to be linked with new wealthy owners. Of course it is. But we need to judge them on their actions; not their bank balance. Not their words. Looking back now the fawning oven Donald and Methven was frankly embarrassing. And they were nobody’s. No-one had heard of them outside of Oxford or Eastleigh.

I 100% think Dreyfus will be filled full of shit by Charlie yes.
Don’t think there is anything wrong with me saying I don’t want Charlie and Donald anywhere near our club, in any capacity, certainly not potentially running it as I have heard.
Personally feel fans should be doing more to make sure their not going to be involved at all, after what they done to our club.

Donald will have very, very little say on anything moving forward. A "silent shareholder" was how he was described in an email by one of the others involved. Methven however...

I don't know a whole lot about the man but I do know he's made himself a considerable sum of cash in other business, he's now a senator in his home country, and has married into a hugely wealthy and influential family in Monaco.

Somehow along the way he also seems to have ended up with owning 20% of our football club which he allegedly got for a pittance and despite seemingly being happy to observe most of the proceedings from the shadows.

I've no idea what his game is but he'd have been off like a shot before now if he had no interest in seeing the club move forward.

I'd seen some reference recently to him moving to London full-time at some stage soon (a 2020 plan that was thwarted by Covid). Maybe this is his time - maybe SD knows that this is his time, too, and that's why he is being ultra-patient - because he knows JS has the clout (and now maybe perhaps the time) to get this shitshow turned around?

Basically, I've no idea where he can / will take us, but I do know it would foolish to dismiss his capabilities based on his 'sleeping partner' role at SAFC so far.

I assume he got the free 20% on the basis that he would eventually broker a deal for the chubby little loser on the grounds that his local in Monaco is rammed with billionaires. Much as Stew and Charlie are mates from Oxford days, Stew must realise that Charlie is too transparently needy to deal with very wealthy people who will all have a healthy skepticism about skint poshboys with their hands out

If the only deal on offer to Dreyfus is with them involved then what can we do? Stamp our feet and lose the deal and the chance of something better (can't be much worse). I don't want Donald and Methven here but you've got to pick your battles. We can agitate and make our feelings known when the deal is complete and the power is taken from their grubby hands. Much more chance of success for all of us at that point.
 
Last week it was the chancers would not be involved at all in any way regards running of the club, this seems to have drifted to... Methven having a role, and Donald having some say even if small going forward.

F ing hell hope not.
