Nigel Pearson and Kevin Phillips.

It would be a stroke of genius, which is why it won’t happen. It just seems to be a very neatly placed link. Sunderland legend? Phillips. Worked under an experienced manager? Pearson. Lazily manufactured by journalists sadly.

Nothing in it really mate. Just says they 'will wait for the call'. Just filling columns in the paper.
I get that but he strikes me as the sort of appointment that could turn the club round and deliver promotion. It seems beyond dispute now that Parkinson is a dead man walking who will fail for the 2nd year in a row if left in place.

Obviously, wihout a doubt. Sure i heard Phillip's say though lately he has done his 'apprenticeship' now working under managers. Wants to be number 1 now only.

Plenty people knock on my door, even now. I assume you mean that a poster went looking for another poster over something they said? Was it Ronnie f***ing Pickering
Haha something like that .
Enjoy your Sunday .
I'm working and finding it hard to fully focus wondering what shit I will encounter watching us on Friday , oh the delights

I’m sort of working, house chores. I can’t focus on anything whilst Parkinson is fully employed. Hopefully that will change before next Friday. A new manager would still have the shit players to work with, but perhaps they might realise that there are other formations out there, we can play younger players, he might recognise when players are tiring and generally use the substitutions to manage a game out, or go for the kill beforehand. Enjoy work

Had one of our best meet ups in the pub yesterday to watch it , 8 of us.
f***ing kick int nuts when they equalised .
We booked an extra table for Friday night as hopefully even more of us turning out.
I know, I know we are idiots but we can't get enough of the pain.
There are 6 glamour models due in for a photo shoot on Friday, can't wait 😃

The managers that Have succeeded here Keane, Reid Allardyce Etc all have one key thing in common Characters Pearson will not be phased By job, expectations etc he won’t accept any nonsense will push the players just what we need, Phillips with him would give place lift it needs.

Reckon you will be able to focus better within the next week or two marra.

The much maligned Nixon does get quite a lot right about our club and this is where this story originated
L'Equipe (with English football) and the Guardian aren't exactly renowned for printing tittle tattle and I can't see how this story can't be mutually exclusive from their reports unless the (potential) new regime are already making a hash of things.

They wouldn't/shouldn't be choosing and sounding out managers when the appointment of a sporting director is still only at the shortlist stage.

I guess the alternative is they've chosen and got commitment from a sporting director since those initial reports and he has already chosen his preferred manager and this is the very latest news.

Just the other day SKP said he had been doing a bit of research and in his opinion a Satori takeover with Donald still on the board was not going to lead to any real change because SAFC was still being run by the same people.

It strikes me that's not the sort of thing that anyone says if they are hoping that the people they have criticized might employ them.
