80s memories

Castaways. Mix it with summat else and have a blastaway. Castaway was not bad tbf, quite moreish.
Once shared a massive whisky bottle, the type that normally got used for saving coppers, filled with that sherry you could get from the chemist. Could taste it for a week. Similarly necked a bottle of Malibu, put me right off Bountys.

Some amazing memories being regurgitated on this thread.
Some of my favourites - Atari Defender , Kuwahara ET BMX’s, The Banana Splits, FA Cup final Grandstand.
Class days
It did on many occasions

Basically I was 8 -18 in the 80’’s crammed a whole lot into that decade starting with toys and Atari’s to graft, pubs and shagging. I honestly loved every minute of it. It seemed to last forever, much longer than the last 30 which frankly has f***ing pissed over 😩

Brilliant days mate 👍

Run the Gauntlet and Chucky Egg.

I also hold fond memories of tv shows such as Button Moon, Puddle Lane and a cartoon series with flight of the Phoenix? Cities of Gold it may have been.
I remember one called 'The Adventure Game' which was on BBC2 I think, a forerunner and a kind of 'Crystal Maze' type program can anyone else remember it? 'Grunta grunta grunta!'
We had some class telly in the 80's. Grange Hill, Brookside, Auf Weidersehen, The Tube, early OFAH, The New Statesman,. I thowt the Young Ones was shite mind.

I'm same age and the music was class too, have always loved the music from that era.
I’d like to have been maybe 8-10 years older for music as I’m a massive fan of bands that were finished by the time I was old enough to go to gigs, but for everything else, the 80’s was perfect. Just the right balance of old school fun and new tech. Plus crowtree was mint, the disco swim in thing on a Friday and the ice rink were class man.
Happy days, nee the wonder today’s kids are depressed living in their social media Groundhog Day.

Saw the Damned in 79, seeing them again next year, hopefully.

I remember going for a job interview near Old Street in London in early 1980. I walked there from Kings Cross and it was just when Thatcher had started wrecking the country. "Food For Thought" by UB40 was playing on my radio and the whole area looked like a war zone because it hadn't been yuppified yet.

This is my boss – Jonathan Hart, a self-made millionaire. He's quite a guy. This is Mrs. H – she's gorgeous. She's one lady who knows how to take care of herself.

By the way, my name is Max. I take care of both of them – which ain’t easy; ‘cause when they met, it was moyder.
