Lying on my Da's back when I was a nipper while he lay on the floor on a Sunday dinnertime watching the old black and white serial reruns like Lost in Space and Land of the Giants.
My mam used to buy those raspberry ripple frozen mousse things with the cardboard tops and the concave bottoms that robbed you of a fair bit of that chemical foam.Jelly and Neapolitan ice cream. Think we used to have Arctic Roll anarl the odd time.
Roller disco at Fusion. Friday night headbanging night at Genevieve.
Our resident young un on here drinks real ale and argues all day everyday. What a change and how sad.Saratoga Roadshow Disco at Crowtree.
I was 13 when the 80's started and 23 by the end. Probably the best 10 years of my life. I was listening to Jam at the start and overdosing on Dandelion and Burdock. By the end I was dropping E's and spending most weekends off me nut listening to Acid House and Madchester stuff. In between I'd popped me cherry and chased any young female with a pulse. I'd also discovered some great music (The Smiths, New Order, Prince, FGTH).
