I downloaded a chess app on the back of watching the queen's gambit. I played a little bit as a kid (poorly but enthusiastically), got through the first handful of difficulties without really thinking about it but once it ramps up you can really feel it I reckon.
My problem is I just don't really have any kind of plan, after the first 4 or 5 moves it seems chaotic and it always feels like I'm reacting to what the computer is doing rather than trying to play my own game and trying to force anything, any wins I get just from opportunity. Guess its just experience that you need to get better but would be handy to have someone telling me when and where I go wrong!
I would be up for some games if someone fancied some easy wins too and they promise not to laugh!
