Pease Pudding

It's available everywhere the yellow split peas are if you make it yourself. I made my budget version on Tuesday night. Peas in pan with a stock cube. Boil till soft then quick whizz with the stick blender. Literally a 2 ingredient recipe. At Christmas I'll do the posh version with stock from a roast gammon and an onion and carrot hoyed in with the peas. The basic one is still as good as shop bought.

I don't eat pork with or without apple sauce. Uncured pig meat is wasted pig meat.

leave the carrot out and replace with a medium sized potato and 2 garlic cloves. when cooked put it through a blender with a big knob of lurpak. eat it cold.
