Tipping Point

Stupid female just answered that
Sunderland is on the Tyne (from Wear /Tees /Tyne choice)
and now Darts is played in "frames" with legs one of the choices!!
How do such imbiciles get picked?
Darts knowledge is relevant to intelligence?

Honestly, I've watched darts a few times, and from the list, aye, I'd say legs. But I can't remember what the legs roll up to - sets maybe? Wouldn't be sure though.

Darts is nowhere near as much in the public concious as things like tennis, snooker etc. Its in the same bracket as badminton, squash, pool.

the other week a bloke from Northern Ireland was given the question "what's the Northern most English County"

Norfolk was his effort.

Ben asked the young lass left in and she actually said 'Birmingham' , i shit you not.

She still took the jackpot home

Think it was tenable the other day. A woman was asked the 10 countries with the most southerly capitals. Italy was her first answer closely followed by England.

He more or less told her the answer to the last question. "It's not Anne Widdecombe. And your instinct says Sarah Wollaston. But your instinct has been WRONG all afternoon, so ....."

No, but she actually quoted "Newcastle Upon Tyne" and still said Newcastle
She didn’t she said the Tyne. Her logic wasn’t too flawed as she’d computed that Sunderland was close to Newcastle and Newcastle was on the Tyne.

She didn’t have specific local knowledge, just as you didn’t know the river names in Ipswich.

No matter what you think, move away from the area and not that many people in the U.K. know the finer details of other regions if they’ve never been there or had cause to become familiar with them.

I’d put good money that at least 6/10 of the U.K. population couldn’t name the Wear in relation to Sunderland or even Durham. Even Roger Whittaker sang about Old Durham Town then being on the banks of the Tyne. It hardly makes someone an imbecile.

Accepted mate, but she wasn't too hot with the brainbox, Ben virtually led her to her last answer & most people know darts are 'legs'. If it was me on there & the question had been spell "imbecile" I would've got it wrong!! DUHHHH

Anyway, England playing canny & I've now learned that Ipswich is on the river Orwell👍👍👍👍👍

I think those two were the worst contestants I've seen
Even Ben was getting exasperated
