The evidence is that they haven't sold, This is a compromise which holds out the prospect of a little bit of jam by getting a higher price for the rest when we're further up the ladder.
But we can’t force him to sell, so this is the best option
Nice one - keep it coming. Fair to say you're optimistic?
Why would a Newcastle supporting journo want to put a negative spin on this takeover if it's as real as what the Guardian seems to be saying? It's Martin Hardy and he is a diehard mag
It would seem somebody or somebodies are thinking the very same thing. How the hell are we pissing around between 5th and 8th place in league f***ing 1!
I think the Times is off the mark here. You don't reach an agreement in principle until due diligence is done. Who's the author? - I can think of one or two there who'd like nothing better than to put a negative spin on this.
Cos he's a bitter wankerWhy would a Newcastle supporting journo want to put a negative spin on this takeover if it's as real as what the Guardian seems to be saying?
He is just leaving himself open for ridicule when it goes through?
That Donald guy is a f - - king chancer. Had us all fooled. The fact he’s kept shares in case we get promoted tells you all you need to know.He quite possibly doesn't want them here. In fact I'd go as far as to say he almost certainly doesn't, simply because him and the other lad have enough money to not need someone like Donald keeping a share since he can't really bring anything to the table.
Unfortunately he can't make them go if they don't want to. If all Donald would agree to is selling most of his shares now and selling more when we go up (which I imagine is the case, and then maybe a smaller amount kept in case we get to the PL), then Sartori wouldn't have a choice other than to walk away entirely. I doubt Donald and Methven will have any say when this goes through, they'll be purely hoping to get a bit of profit. It's undeserved but as long as we progress as a club I'm not overly bothered
It's Martin Hardy and he is a diehard mag
I've been thinking about something Donald said earlier "Juan is back, and he's being very vocal". I can't help but think that Sr
Newcastle fan isn’t he?Written by Martin Hardy. No surprise to see a negative slant.
Martin Hardy. I'm not familiar with him.
The other point raised as a "hurdle" FPP "ratification". But why... surely they just need paying back? They have no stake.
Then Donald’s shares was dilute further is my understandingSo what happens if the 60% shareholder says 'I'm hoying £40m in here Donald, you need to put in £10m' and he can't ?
There's more evidence to suggest they're not (FPP takeover falling through) than there is that they are.Not selling is not evidence of not being prepared to sell.
So he could do that till he's got none left then take his money back out ?Then Donald’s shares was dilute further is my understanding

I agree they have been a stain on our club and i will begrudgingly hope they make a few quid provided it means we are successful ........However we must not let them change the narrative their tenure has been a disaster for our club and we must never forget this...........SAFC fans have long memories and we should keep our best jimmy hill welcome for don and charlie if they show their face around our club again especially if they dont pay back the parachute moneys as promised.I hate Stewart Donald and Methven for having destroyed any ambition this club had. However, I won’t begrudge them a nice little earner by holding onto their shares, because it means we have been successful
