Don't think any of the kids we sold off will be flourishing in the Premier league in the next few years. Might be a few decent championship players amongst them, might get the odd 1 possibly Mumba in the Premier but far too early to see if any of them are good enough
Isn't one of the ones that Man U signed already been touted as a bright star of their academy?
Didn't Leeds just sign Sam Greenwood?

Granted not every single youngster we let go will develop into a PL star, but the way we've just let them go is criminal

Something happening?

We must have lost at least 10 quality youth players since 2018.

I was guilty of getting excited about the current chancers taking over, so I understand if you don't necessarily trust my judgement...but...

I think this could be the start of the re-birth. I know people wanted SD and CM gone completely. I did too (still do if I had my choice). However, my fear wasn't so much that they'd stay on board hoping for a pay out later but that them wanting top dollar would mean no one would pay enough to get them to leave.

I'm being optimistic for now and focussing on the fact that I don't think this kid would be getting involved just to make up the numbers in league one. I'd also consider the possibility that SD and CM just wanting out with as much as they could get might well have seen us sold to someone like that energy drinks tosser. They do see that there is more money to be made from a sale if the club is successful and to that end you'd think they want to sell to the group most likely to achieve that.

Never dull, unless you're actually watching us play!

Hew mate, where exactly did I deride Sweep? Sooty would have still been a shite dishcloth without him.
Have you seen the Sweep's family clip? Aw man, if you haven't then gird your laughloins, they're in for a bumpy ride...

From 15 minutes on it's f***ing bedlam.

Spare a thought for the poor poor Fingerbobs n all.

That's a fair point well argued mate, I just jumped in assuming you were having a go at the genius that is sweep, when you were attacking Corbett and the tedious Sooty and annoying Sue!

Please accept my unreserved apologies.

We'll have to see on that one.

Alternatively, would you revise your view if none of them do?

No.

Because if you judge the decision to sell based purely upon whether they become Premier League Footballers or not you're making the grave error of assuming that "children are a commodity to be bought and sold".

The error was thinking they were sellable assets in the first place.

I wouldn't disagree, but I think the blame lies with the top clubs there.

Its always been my way, I used to work with some mags, before the derby match I would tell them how we were going to destroy them. One of them asked why I would do that, I had to explain I enjoyed it before the match thinking of the win and taking the piss out of them, they hated it, then if we didnt win, I had enjoyed pre match, if we won it was party on all the way through.

Be positive
I quite like the ethos here, actually. 😁

I've somehow managed to miss todays developments until now.

Im intrigued but struggling to get excited over this. A 22 year old rich kid doesn't fill me with confidence as someone who can run a football club and we know the current bunch can't do it.

This kid and Sartori could have easily afforded to buy out Donald and Methven, but the fact that they haven't, suggests they're still going to be influential. I can live with Donald being a minority shareholder but Methven coming back to be an active part in the club is a red line for me.
