Hew mate, where exactly did I deride Sweep? Sooty would have still been a shite dishcloth without him.
Have you seen the Sweep's family clip? Aw man, if you haven't then gird your laughloins, they're in for a bumpy ride...

From 15 minutes on it's f***ing bedlam.

fakin brilliant

A few pages back there was a post from Summerbee. It seemed to have gone under the radar but is still there.
I gave a lengthy respectful response which has been deleted. Nothing offensive at all in my response.
My response disappeared his post remains.
It stinks.
nicky lad

Who inherited the club in League One, stopped the rot and has passed on their stewardship of the club to some very wealthy and smart people who will take us forward. Time will be kind to them, even if some can't see it now.

It's f***ing class isn't it? The cleverest bit for me is that it'll only have increased the episode's budget by about £50 plus a youngun's bus fare to the shop selling cheap Sweep knock offs. Finish the filming, all stuffed back in their packets then the same youngun can go back receipted reet up and get a refund. Best of all, he can do it on his way home so no taxi fare. ;)

I get the 'don't completely hate on SD' angle. We all knew who he was when he took over and were generally happy with it - a slightly rich football owner with a plan to get us out of league one, bring in outside investment and eventually see us succeed.

Sure he kind of sucked at getting us out of league 1, and the bit where he flogged all the kids is pretty unforgiveable, but still... it's not been too bad. No, it has, it's been really bad. But we expected that, surely? We were relegated from the Championship as a f***ing husk of a club, I think most of us, realistically, (especially those of us in Sheffield who've watched this for both clubs here) thought it would take about this long to stabilise. We dropped from Div2 a broken, broken club, and were only a goal away from promotion in the first year at the end of the day.

Chubby little loser
Apart from the fact that he's a f***ing minted and World famous. He is chubby like but not as much as he has been in the past. Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending him, I think the massively successful, famous and slightly overweight prick is about as funny as a goth Leonard Cohen with the comedic version of Dunning-Kruger syndrome.
*see also Steve Wright 'Deejay'
Michael Mckintyre
and James Corden.
The thing is that I reckon Wright would be overjoyed to be named in such illustrious company. Imagine being so desperately unfunny that you make Chris Moyles look like Peter Cook and Ronnie Barker rolled into one. He must be much better at blackmailing people than he is at humour.

For me, its not that he hasnt got enough money to help us succeed, its the fact hes seen us as a money making exercise and has sacrificed the future of the club to this end. He was willing to go even further with that Project Big Picture sh*te as well. Hes an absolute disgrace in my opinion. Hes tried to run one of the grandest clubs in the country like a poundshop. Everything is third rate from strips to sponsors to the academy. Cutting corners, the cheapest of everything, scouting i could go on. I hate the fact he can still make money out of us. Hes set us back years.

When we see the kids they sold off for pennies flourish in the premier league over the next few years time will almost certainly not be kind to them.

Tell me please PP will be gone soon
Even if his departure isn't immediate, what we can now be sure of is that our owners can afford better. They presumably have their own ideas on how we could improve (who doesn't, we're f***ing awful) but the important thing is we can now change, whenever the owners deem it appropriate to improve our staffing in that position.

I still think we had a squad more than capable of getting out of L1 at the first attempt , if only on the number of ex Premier and International players alone .
I know it didn’t happen, but that was due to other factors , not our “state” when we went down , imo.
