Takeover News/Rumours

At some level SD doing what he said he would. He always said he didn’t have the cash to take the club further long term and would need to bring in other investors. I think he always wanted to flip it and bit off more than he could chew but if he does sell on to Someone with more money than sense then I think a lot of the abuse will seem overdone in retrospect

He always said he had the money for this division but would need help after that, he f***ing lied again, because he fucked us before the rule changes in the last transfer window, he is full of f***ing shit

“bought” the club, stopped the rot off the pitch by reducing costs and selling whatever they could, ruined the academy, failed to get us promoted despite the parachute money and “best budget in league 1”. Slagged fans off and criticised fans / fan groups / media

its easy to cut costs, the hard part is cutting costs off the pitch while being successful on it still. They failed to do that, badly

Time won’t be kind to them, too many despise them

i think he had money for this division but not for three years. Failure on pitch screwed his plans right up.
Well one of the safc tv lads on twitter reckons it's all bollocks because Storey said so.....
Well Storey knows all about talking bollocks

We definitely wouldn't have been promoted, taking 2 points from our last 4 games in which we were f***ing dreadful
Well, only lost 3 out of last 18. Best form team in league calendar year after Oxford.

We were gaining on Rotherham. Had a few dodgy games but that happens. Just beaten Wycombe 4 - 0 iirc

Am I the only one who wouldn’t feel very comfortable with a 22 year old mammy and daddy’s boy being in charge of our club?

Money without brains doesn’t work, we had that with Short and it almost cost us the entire club.
I’m 43! I work in an organisation where we have staff at 19 to 55. And yes there will always be exceptions to the norm, but the most energetic positive people who want to make a name for themselves drive organisations forward. Yes they take risks because they are not shackled by historic failures. They see an issue and see it as an opportunity. If our club needs anything it energy, a plan, and long term commitment. Age is a number. If Dell had FPP to manage his funds I’m sure the young lad will have a team managing his trust fund. This will be a business decision I’m sure but one hopefully driven by the love of the game.

it's not just him though, part of a consortium right

How do you arrive at that? In some reports it says Sartori is leading the consortium so that would suggest he may even have more than 40%

It's entirely possible that Sartori could transfer his shares into a new company which would then hold 80% pf Madrox. That company would then be the ultimate owner. itself controlled by a number of consortium members, much as Drumaville was run by the Irish.

We were in 3rd when they took over. Lost in play off final first season. Covid knacked second.

Do you think Rotherham and Wycombe would have got promoted if season had continued.
If so please don't reply.

All I ask is for a bit of perspective. SD tried his best.

I always knew it would be tricky, and ugly getting out this league. Been proved right.

Some blame SD for all our problems, accumulated years before he arrived.

Yes, lowest finish ever. Second lowest starting point ever as well.
He's failed and will end up making a profit. Whatever you or Donald thinks are the mitigating circumstances the facts are he's failed. Unlike others I dont question his motives. He tried his best and wanted to get us up. But he's failed and to try and re-write his story to suggest he's laid the foundations for our renaissance is blatantly untrue.

The ultimate legacy of his reign will be a host of talent doing great things elsewhere. He's sold off what may have been our 'Golden Generation' - something we'll never find out. The fact that they've been found out has led to us tying down Dan Neil proving that we can keep talent despite squandering 8 or 9 decent youngsters for probably £1.5m. That is what I will always remember Donald's reign for. He probably thought we wouldn't notice but we did. To suggest history will look kindly on him would be a joke if it wasnt so tragic.

but if you're at high altitude that changes

Not just with altitude. It actually varies directly with changes in atmospheric pressure so could be different from your kettle on consecutive days, its just the changes are so minor you would never notice. Its not a matter of opinion though. Its properties are known for any given atmospheric pressure. Water boils at about 68 degrees C at the top of mount Everest.

Haway man 🤣

Theres another one in french but it appears to say they are part of a consortium who will own 80%. Note both articles were from France quoting 80%. As far as i can see no English journalists have committed to the 60%, other than the journalistic heavyweight that is Matthew Crichton of SBNation.

Face facts, any business person with half a brain shouldn't get involved in football at all, never mind with us presently being in the position we are. At what age does a fictitious, Worldly wise, successful and responsible billionaire benefactor qualify for ownership of the basketcase we are currently?
By definition, these people (if they actually exist) would run a f***ing mile and rightly so.

In most reports its

New bloke 60%
Santori 20%
SD 15%
CM 5%

I have nee idea where you are getting Santori at 40% from

That's just using an assumption that Sartori's shareholding won't change. Which would be odd as he's being suggested as leader of the consortium.

That suggests that my thought of Sartori moving his 20% into a newco could have legs.

I hadnt even considered these types of moves mate. Im only going off the very limited amount of information we have and what ive read. I think its probably best to wait for more information.

We looked dead and buried in those final 4 games. Donald will not be remembered well by any safc I know.
Nah. Bullied by Rovers but had chances. Let in last minute goal against someone, I forget who.

There was a problem as teams were wising up to our tactics and pushing up on the back 3. Portsmouth just did that, so need a plan B, but we had enough to beat most teams.
