Florida

Thread got me pricing up. I know I shouldn’t but can’t help myself.

the only thing stopping me is that my wife is pregnant so we need to wait a few years for the little one to be old enough to appreciate it. Which also makes it a very different holiday to the times we've been in the past which has been adult only.

My wife has got us planning on going to Paris when she is nearly 3, then to florida when she is about 5. Can't help but look at stuff like the bibbidi bobbidi boutique. That kind of stuff we have never done before. We like going to busch gardens for the rollercoasters. That will be out of the question.

I like riding rollercoasters at universal then getting chemist at margaritaville happy hour on way back to hotel. Guess that won’t be happening for me soon.

Sounds a good age for the character stuff.

yea we tend to do the parks on the weekdays then do a bit outlet shopping followed by drinks in disney spring/ idrive. That will be pretty different

the only thing we've got planned is the bibbidi bobbidi boutique to get dressed up followed by cinderella's castle since the food in there is really nice.

We did both of those the last two times we were there. Well wort it, fantastic experience for all three of them.

The overall experience in BBB is better now since they moved the salon too.

which package did you go with? It looks like the ones including the dress are massively overpriced when you can supply your own.

Nothing stopping you doing the rollercoasters at Busch, still plenty for the kids to do and you'll end up taking turns and doing single riders queue or using parent ticket things (can't remember which it is there). Never any queues. It's not all about the kids.

Whats the chances of getting there in august 😬
We went there in August twice. Had a villa in Kissimmee. As said it was absolutely roasting. Good thunderstorms though. Love the place. Personally I’d probably save more pennies for next year and have a blow out. Not the kind of place to go on a tight budget in my opinion mate.

Good lord, why would you want to go to Florida in August? The weather literally anywhere else in the US except Las Vegas would be better then.
Everyone thinks our summer is the time to go on holiday, its ingrained - and for good reason, its been the only time people got 2 weeks together for decades, until recently.
Agreed though, its a rotten time to go to Orlando. Too hot, too humid, too rainy, too packed out

I reckon unlikely this year, we’re planning on next year

Don’t really want to go back until all social distancing is gone, masks gone, park hopping allowed again etc
October is the time to go.😉
That’s my favourite time too, weather nice. Things a bit quieter. Love Halloween stuff in the parks too
