Takeover News/Rumours

disagree. I think their only interest at this point is getting the price they wanted down the line once we are promoted. Don’t think they will have any input, people need to stop obsessing about them retaining shares. It means very little in reality.
I agree, though I understand why people want them gone completely, in terms of any power they have I’m not sure they’ll have any more influence than any of us posting on here.
So, I’m not going to let their possible on-going involvement bother me in terms of how I feel about the excitement of the potential takeover.

They've already repaid about £14m. And Sartori, not Louis-Dreyfus, is the lead in the consortium. Any money moving from Madrox to the club that isn't a loan is reinstating the parachute, whether or not the Madrox shareholders change.
Would you expect wholesale changes such as the Manager and backroom staff including bringing in a DOF

Well done you, good job you’re here.

Next time I post I’ll run it past you first to see if I’ve met with your high standards. Must be with me being new on here that I thought I could generalise to make a point.

Probably for the best as making things up as an excuse to put others down isn't a good look.

By the way, the significance of Louis-Dreyfus's wealth being in a Trust Fund has just dawned on me. It means that the purse strings are actually controlled by Mme Dreyfus, his mother. The one still has a stake in Marseille. This looks very similar to the situation involving the Rybovlev's at Monaco, where Rybovlev controls the funding, but has his duaghter (Mrs Sartori) as chairman.

Indeed....they must have lots of rich mates along that south French coast. Just reading how Dreyfus Senior was the CEO of Adidas! Major job that, he also inspired marseilles back to Europe.....his son will want to emulate that

I'd expect a DoF before a change of manager. Irrespective of style, Parkinson is doing well as far as the table is concerned. Sacking a manager in that situation would look odd to people outside the NE bubble, a bit like when Graham Alexander got the bullet at Salford. An immediate change of manager would only make sense if they have someone lined up already.

It's also possible they'll look for a CEO with more experience in building a club through the divisions, rather than just L1/L2 experience.
